15 Things You Need to Know When Dealing With the Police

09:49
Knowing what you should do when dealing with the police is really useful. Following some simple rules will keep you out of trouble in an emergency situation. At some point in your life, you’ll have to deal with law enforcement officers, even if you haven't broken any laws. We’ll be answering the most common “What if...” and “Can they...” questions about the police. Remember, when dealing with law enforcement officers, stay calm and respectful at all times, never argue with or touch a police officer, and always state out loud if you do not consent. Music: Scratch the Itch - Quincas Moreira https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS What do I do if a police officer stops me on the street? 0:34 Do I have to answer their questions? 1:21 What to do if I'm being asked to leave a public place? 1:41 What if law enforcement officers pull me over? 2:18 Why do police officers touch your car when they pull you over? 2:57 What if I’ve been mistreated by the police? 3:26 What do I do if a police officer asks me for a bribe? 3:58 What should I do if officers come to my house? 4:45 Can officers search me, my home, my car, or my bag? 6:00 Do I have to show officers my immigration documents? 6:25 If I'm entering with valid travel papers, can law enforcement officers stop and search me? 6:51 Can airport security search my laptop files? 7:20 What if I’m selected for a strip search? 7:41 What if I witness a crime? 8:01 What to do if I need help from the police? 8:50 SUMMARY -If a police officer stops you on the street, it doesn't always mean they think you’ve committed a crime. Stay polite and answer questions about your name and where you live. If you’re visiting another country, always carry a copy of your ID with you. -You have the right to remain silent and will never be punished for not answering a question. -Police officers don't need any written document forcing you to leave the premises but they cannot order you to move if you’re protesting some political issue or taking part in a strike. -When pulled over by the police, stay calm and polite, step outside if the officer asks you to and only answer questions in connection with the reason you were pulled over. -Police officers touch your car when they pull you over to leave their fingerprints on it. This can prove that they had an encounter with a certain driver. -Write down the officer's badge number, their name, or any other identifying information, document your injuries if any, call a lawyer and file a complaint for the mistreatment. -An officer can never demand money from you, but if that happens, stay polite and pay attention to all details to report the incident later. -If the officers come to search your house, make sure they have the right warrant to do it, call your lawyer, take note of what’s going on and find somebody to be your witness to watch the search -If you don't want the police to search your belongings, you have to say out loud, “I do not consent.” -Always carry your immigration documents on you at all times to avoid problems. -Customs officers and TSA agents have the right to stop, detain, and search any person or item entering the country. -Register a complaint with the TSA to find out the reason for your laptop files search. -The officers are obliged to take you to a private area for a strip search, and the searching officer must be the same sex as you. -If you witness a crime, protect yourself, call for help if necessary, don't touch or move anything and pay attention to every detail so that you can explain everything to the police when they arrive. -Call 911 or your local police department if you need help from the police. SECRET CONFESSIONS of Police Officers EXPOSED

Of course, the fact that they also live lives outside of the force adds a whole different dimension to this story. As you’ll see ahead, there are some police officers who have back stories that either not a lot of people know about, or their department would like to keep under wraps. From officers who are lingerie models to drag racing coppers to straight up corruption, there’s quite a few interesting secrets out there that may just change how you see the men and women in blue – for better and worse. We’ll start things off with a cop who was just straight up corrupt but was too dumb to hide it. We think the time he showed up to work in a Ferrari demonstrates that. Then there’s a German police officer who moonlights as a fitness and bodybuilding model. Think police have a lot of weapons? Just wait until you see what sort of equipment the government’s been giving them over the years. Speaking of the government, a lot of people already know the NSA is tracking pretty much everyone. It turns out your police can do the same thing. One Denver police force would like to just forget the story about one of their own who spent years stealing money from the department and using its accounts as a personal piggy bank. In a comical twist, we’ll tell you about the time a British police officer spent a night being directed to chase down a shadowy figure who turned out to be himself. We’re definitely sure that no police force wants the citizens to know that a lot of those complaints we make about police performance are either locked away or even shredded. Not a lot of you may know that some police actually promote racing and take part in challenging kids. Yup, it’s actually at the drag strip and puts a positive twist on street racing. Back into the realm of corruption, we’ll look at the incredible story of Officer Gliniewicz who fooled everyone around him right up until his passing. Finally, we’ll heat things up with a look at one New York cop who turned a lot of heads when she revealed she was a lingerie model. ORIGINAL TEXT: Unsolicited call from John from "the American Police Officers Alliance" In October 2017 I received an unsolicited call on my cell phone from "the American Police Officers Alliance". My phone number is not listed anywhere to my knowledge. The conversation went like this: ==================== Hello? Hi this is John calling from "the American Police Officers Alliance". How are you? mmm I'm doing well. Hello? Yes. Can you hear me? Yes. It's the benefit drive done each year to support those who protect our nation's citizens. It's a 527-organization. (A 527-organization is a type of U.S. tax-exempt organization organized under Section 527 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code). The goal is to fight for their right to ensure that police officers are receiving the tools and training they need to remain safe. We are calling the citizens in the area for the one time donation for the drive. We'll of course make sure that you get everything including the "thank you" letter showing you support the officers. The top sponsorships are $100, $50 or $35. I just need to know which one we can put you down for. (DO YOU FEEL THE PRESSURE?) OK. I'm actually not interested to participate in this one. No problem just keep us in mind for next time. Sure. Bye bye. Bye bye. ==================== They called from number 857-262-8018 but from other reports online I understand that they change their number often. 10 Times TOYS Got Kids In TROUBLE With Police Officers

Try out ThePremium Network for free: http://goo.gl/rW2jhc Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Kids are known for getting into mischief on occasion in the pursuit of trying to find new and creative ways to entertain themselves. But some children manage to find no small amount of trouble just playing with actual toys. In this video, we’ll show you ten times that something as simple as talking about your favorite toy with your classmates lead to kids getting in a whole heap of trouble. We know that schools generally have pretty strict rules about what you can and cannot bring onto school property, but sometimes their zero tolerance policies seem to make zero sense, like when one little girl found herself suspended from her kindergarten class for daring to bring a plastic bubble making machine with her to class. Given the choice between Nerf or nothing, most schools would rather their students bring nothing. One group of kids found out the hard way when they were suspended for bringing in Nerf products that they intended to use for a math presentation-one that had been cleared in advance by their teacher. Another kid made the mistake of leaving a Nerf dart in his pocket before heading to school, and when it was discovered he was severely punished. We’ve heard about fidget spinners being banned in schools, but we’ll for one kid, using a fidget spinner to help him concentrate on his schoolwork was enough to have his family investigated. Why Police Touch Your Taillight, It's Extremely Important!

07:11
How to Deal with the Police. Have you ever noticed a police officer feeling his way along a car’s taillight during a stop? Most of us have either been pulled over or observed it happening to someone else. Regardless of what the fault may be, when a vehicle is stopped, one thing is for sure: the officer will slide their hand across the car’s taillight on their way to the driver’s window. This is a common practice amongst police officers all around the world, and it’s considered extremely important. TIMESTAMPS Driving statistics 1:01 The dangers of being a police officer 2:44 Why do the police tap your taillight 3:38 To frighten the driver 3:57 To leave their fingerprint on the vehicle 4:27 As a ritual 5:06 What to do if they tap your taillight 6:24 Music: Eyes of Glory https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Statistically, there are over 1.2 billion people worldwide driving their cars on the road every day. The average American spends 17,600 minutes driving their car every year. -Over 50 American police officers were killed last year during routine vehicle stops. These officers pulled over drivers for a variety of reasons, including speeding, stolen vehicles, and running red lights. -Tapping the taillight is a custom that dates back to before the invention of police cameras, and it’s still taught today in police academies. Basically, they are trying to catch you doing something wrong. -A short, sharp noise from the back of the car can frighten someone attempting to hide drugs or weapons in the front seat. -To ensure that there is evidence that an officer pulled over a specific car, the police will always attempt to leave their fingerprint on the rear light of the vehicle. -New technology has essentially made leaving evidence on the taillight obsolete, but the police continue to do it. From accounts of police officers themselves, they want to touch the taillight out of sheer loyalty to what it represents. -If you notice a police officer tap the back light after pulling you over, it’s important not to get upset or angry. You may think that you have done nothing wrong and are being treated as a criminal, but the officer is just being cautious. Dashcam: Police Officer Helps Speeding Student Tie His Tie

03:46
** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** A University of Wisconsin-Stout student pulled over for speeding last month near campus was rushing to give a presentation and didn’t know how to tie his necktie. According to the Menomonie Police Department, Officer Martin Folczyk spotted the student’s BMW speeding down 8th Street at 8:55 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 30 and initiated the stop. “I have to get a tie tied,” the driver said. “I have a presentation and I thought my buddy was home but he’s not, and I’m running behind.” Before asking for his license and insurance, the officer asked the student for his tie, then loosely tied it around his own neck before handing it back. “While I do this, why don’t you grab your proof of insurance and your driver’s license real quick,” Officer Folczyk said. “Probably not the best knot, but it will work.” “Better than what I was going to do,” the student said. “Thank you so much.” The student was given a verbal warning. After seeing the video of the traffic stop, the police chief invited the driver back to the police station and taught him to properly tie his own tie. Police officer caught jumping on a trampoline on drugs raid (Video) Any Articles News

02:41
A police officer is facing an inquiry after causing fury when he was spotted jumping up and down on a trampoline during a drugs raid. The policeman was filmed in a garden in a residential street in Coventry by a neighbour and was seen taking off his kit belt before performing stunts while fellow officers laughed. West Midlands Police confirmed it has launched an investigation into the incident which 'appears to have fallen short of high standards'.The neighbour who filmed the antics told The Sun: 'This is what you pay your taxes for. I can't f*****g believe it.' Former Detective Chief Inspector Mike Neville added the wars on drugs had been 'taken over by a circus with an acrobatic officer as star act'. He told the paper: 'The British bobby used to be respected throughout the world. A professional, authority figure with a friendly smile and ability to catch crooks.'Officers now seem to model themselves on Kindergarten Cop rather than Dixon of Dock Green. Too often they are seen fooling around and bringing policing into disrepute.' West Midlands Police issued a statement on Monday which confirmed it is aware of video footage being circulated that 'shows a police officer on a trampoline.' Supt Jenny Skyrme, from the Force Response team, said: 'We expect our officers to have the highest standards in their conduct and behaviour and sadly, this appears to fall short of that. 'Our Professional Standards Department have been informed who will review the matter to determine if there is a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour.'It comes just two weeks after Met Police officers were seen dancing to music at Extinction Rebellion protests in London, while another was spotted skateboarding on Waterloo Bridge. Officers were slammed by their own commander over their actions in Oxford Circus, which was also captured on camera. Speaking at the time, Commander Jane Connors of the Metropolitan Police, said: 'I'm disappointed by the video and the unacceptable behaviour of the officers in it.'We expect our officers to engage with protestors but clearly their actions fall short of the tone of the policing operation at a time when people are frustrated at the actions of the protestors. 'We will be reminding officers of their responsibilities and expectations in policing this operation - however the majority of officers have been working long hours and I am grateful to them for their continued commitment.' The new footage comes just days after figures revealed the number of killings on Britain's streets is at its highest level in a decade. There were 732 police recorded homicides - which includes murders and manslaughter cases - in England and Wales last year, the highest since 2008 and the equivalent of two a day. The number of knife offences also rose by six per cent - with more 40,800 recorded crimes involving a blade. The West Midlands was the second worst area for knife crime in Britain with 3,210 incidents in 2018, a 17 per cent rise on the previous year. Separate figures show fewer criminals are being caught, with only 8.2 per cent of offences leading to charges, down from 9.1 per cent in 2017. #News&Politics, #TomoNews, #AnimatedNews

cute puppy's day soured quickly after it got its first taste of a lemon. A New York City pet owner recorded the moment when her curious eight-week-old puppy tried the sliced citrus fruit and — surprise! — it wasn't love at first lick. In the video, the owner can be seen holding out half of a lemon in her hand, offering it to the puppy. The fluffy golden retriever puppy then cautiously approaches the fruit and sniffs at it, before quickly backing away and bumping into another canine standing in the background. The puppy can then be seen licking its nose and adorably wrinkling its snout with distaste. He also paws at its nose several times in an effort to wipe away the lemon. Not one to shy away from new experiences, however, the puppy sidles back up to the proffered lemon and gives it another sniff. After taking a moment to think about it, the puppy decides that he definitely does not like the sour citrus and barks at it with distaste.

Police Brutality in America: Cases, Facts, Statistics, Articles, History, Lawyers (2000)

01:09:05
Police brutality is the abuse of authority by the unwarranted infliction of excessive force by personnel involved in law enforcement while performing their official duties. The term is also applied to abuses by corrections personnel in municipal, state and federal penal facilities including military prisons. While the term police brutality is usually applied in the context of causing physical harm, it may also involve psychological harm through the use of intimidation tactics beyond the scope of officially sanctioned police procedure. In the past, those who engaged in police brutality may have acted with the implicit approval of the local legal system, e.g. during the Civil Rights era. In the modern era, individuals who engage in police brutality may do so with the tacit approval of their superiors or they may be rogue officers. In either case, they may perpetrate their actions under color of law and, more often than not, engage in a subsequent cover-up of their illegal activity. The word brutality has several meanings; the sense used here (savage cruelty) was first used in 1633.[1] The term police brutality has been in use since at least 1833 when it appeared in the London paper The Poor Man's Guardian.[2] Efforts to combat police brutality focus on various aspects of the police subculture, and the aberrant psychology which may manifest itself when individuals are placed in a position of absolute authority over others. Beyond police departments and DAs, mechanisms of government oversight have gradually evolved. The Rodney King case triggered the creation of the Independent Commission on the Los Angeles Police Department, informally known as the Christopher Commission, in 1991. The commission, mandated to investigate the practices of the LAPD, uncovered disturbing patterns of misconduct and abuse, but the reforms it recommended were put on hold. Meanwhile, media reports revealed a frustration in dealing with systemic abuse in other jurisdictions as well, such as New York and Pittsburgh. Selwyn Raab of the New York Times wrote about how the "Blue Code of Silence among police officers helped to conceal even the most outrageous examples of misconduct."[32] Within this climate, the police misconduct provision of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 was created, which authorized the Attorney Manager to "file lawsuits seeking court orders to reform police departments engaging in a pattern or practice of violating citizens' federal rights."[33] As of January 31, 2003, the Department of Justice has used this provision to negotiate reforms in twelve jurisdictions across the U.S. (Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Steubenville Police Department, New Jersey State Police, Los Angeles Police Department, District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department, Highland Park, Illinois Police Department, Cincinnati Police Department, Columbus Police Department, Buffalo Police Department, Mount Prospect, Illinois Police Department, Seattle Police Department, and the Montgomery County, Maryland Police Department).[34] Data obtained by The Associated Press showed a racial disparity in officers' use of stun guns. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_brutality_in_the_United_States

Sovereign Citizens Getting Owned - Compilation

30:08
The sovereign citizen movement is a loose grouping of American and Canadian litigants, commentators, tax protesters and financial-scheme promoters. Self-described sovereign citizens take the position that they are answerable only to their particular interpretation of the common law and are not subject to any statutes or proceedings at the federal, state, or municipal levels;[1] that they do not recognize United States currency; and/or that they are "free of any legal constraints."[2][3][4] They especially reject most forms of taxation as illegitimate.[5] Participants in the movement argue this concept in opposition to "federal citizens," who, they say, have unknowingly forfeited their rights by accepting some aspect of federal law.[6] It is similar in doctrines to the freemen on the land movement, more commonly found in Britain and Canada.[7][8][9][10] Many members of the sovereign citizen movement believe that the United States government is illegitimate.[11] JJ MacNab, who writes for Forbes about anti-government extremism, describes the sovereign citizens getting owned movement as consisting of individuals who believe that the County Sheriff is the most powerful law-enforcement officer in the country, with authority superior to that of any federal agent, elected official or local law-enforcement official.[12] This belief comes from the movement's origins in the "white extremist group" Posse Comitatus.[13] The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) classifies some sovereign citizens ("sovereign citizen extremists") as domestic terrorists.[14] In 2010, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) estimated that approximately 100,000 Americans were "hard-core sovereign believers," with another 200,000 "just starting out by testing sovereign techniques for resisting everything from speeding tickets to drug charges."[15] According to a 2014 report by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), a survey of law-enforcement officials and agencies across the United States concluded that the movement was the single greatest threat to their communities, ranking above Islamic terrorists and jihadists.[16][17][18] Sovereign citizens have also been identified as a potential terrorist threat by the New South Wales Police Force in Australia. Writing in American Scientific Affiliation, Dennis L. Feucht reviews American Militias: Rebellion, Racism & Religion by Richard Abanes, and describes the theory of a sovereign-citizen leader Richard McDonald, which is that there are two classes of citizens in America: the "original citizens of the states" (or "States citizens") and "U.S. citizens". McDonald asserts that U.S. citizens or "Fourteenth Amendment citizens" have civil rights, Legislated to give the freed black slaves after the Civil War rights comparable to the unalienable constitutional rights of white state citizens. The benefits of U.S. citizenship are received by consent in exchange for freedom. State citizens consequently take steps to revoke and rescind their U.S. citizenship and reassert their de jure common-law state citizen status. This involves removing one's self from federal jurisdiction and relinquishing any evidence of consent to U.S. citizenship, such as a Social Security number, driver's license, car registration, use of ZIP codes, marriage license, voter registration, and birth certificate. Also included is refusal to pay state and federal income taxes because citizens not under U.S. jurisdiction are not required to pay them. Only residents (resident aliens) of the states, not its citizens, are income-taxable, state citizens argue. And as a state citizen land owner, one can bring forward the original land patent and file it with the county for absolute or allodial property rights. Such allodial ownership is held "without recognizing any superior to whom any duty is due on account thereof" (Black's Law Dictionary). Superiors include those who levy property taxes or who hold mortgages or liens against the property.[20] In support of his theories, McDonald has established State Citizen Service Centers around the United States as well as a related web presence.[21] Writer Richard Abanes asserts that sovereign citizens fail to sufficiently examine the context of the case laws they cite, and ignore adverse evidence, such as Federalist No. 15, where Alexander Hamilton expressed the view that the Constitution placed everyone personally under federal authority.[20] Some "sovereign citizens" also claim that they can become immune to most or all laws of the USA by renouncing their citizenship, a process they refer to as "expatriation", which involves filing or delivering a bogus legal document to whichever county clerk's office they can get to accept it.

Why No Convictions When Police Officers Kill?

12:12
Why are police officers more likely to commit acts of gratuitous violence during encounters with people of color? And why are they so infrequently brought to justice in a court of law? TYT's Eric Byler (http://Twitter.com/EricByler) and Joseph Williams ( http://Twitter.com/VerbDC ) of US News examine the underlying causes: Supreme Court precedent that allows police officers wide latitude in claiming "fear" of citizen justifies his or her killing, and, centuries of "psychological warfare" designed to connect skin color to, exactly that...fear. When Does a Police Officer Go Too Far? | Graham v. Connor

He has his friend, William Berry, drive him to a nearby convenience store to get some orange juice to counteract the reaction. Once he gets inside, he sees a really long line, making the store not so convenient anymore, and rushes back out to the car, directing his friend to drive him somewhere else to get the sugar he needs. Meanwhile, someone across the street is watching them. That someone is M.S. Connor, a police officer who was a bit uneasy about what he just witnessed. To him, it looked like Graham was robbing the convenience store, based on the fact that he entered and exited the store so quickly in what seemed to be a getaway car. Officer Connor immediately followed Graham and Berry’s car, flashing the patrol lights to pull them over about half a mile away from the store. As Connor approached the car, Berry frantically told him that Graham was a diabetic and he needed sugar immediately. Not believing him, Connor told the two to wait while he tried to figure out what happened back at the store. As Connor called for backup in his patrol car, Graham got out of the car, ran around it twice, and collapsed on the curb, passing out. Connor handcuffed Graham. By the time the backup, which was four other cops, arrived, Graham had regained consciousness. The cops seemed to assume that Graham was just drunk. Some of them didn’t believe Graham had diabetes. When Graham pleaded with them to check his wallet for a diabetic identification card, one of the officers told him to “shut up” and slammed him down on the hood of the car. The officers roughed up Graham pretty bad, throwing him head first into the patrol car. Later Graham claimed they gave him a bunch of cuts and bruises, injured his shoulder, and even broke his foot. As Graham waited in the back of the patrol car, a friend came by with some orange juice for him. However, the officers didn’t let him have it! Eventually, Officer Connor got a report that Graham had done nothing wrong at the convenience store, and the officers drove him home and released him. NO HARD FEELINGS, MAN. SO WE’RE COOL, RIGHT? Well, no, we are not cool. Graham later sued the five involved police officers, as well as the city of Charlotte. Graham argued his constitutional right to be free from excessive force had been violated. The district court used a due process test from a case known as Johnson v. Glick to determine if the officers were acting out of “good faith” or just acting “maliciously or sadistically.” In other words, were the cops trying to keep order or were they abusing their power? The district agreed with the city, justifying the actions of the police officers. Graham appealed to the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, which agreed with the lower court. Graham appealed again, and the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case in October 1988, almost four years after the incident. Because Graham claimed his Fourth Amendment rights were violated, the Court had to make a decision based on how reasonable it was for the cops to do what they did strictly based on the Fourth Amendment. Because “objective reasonableness” could be interpreted in many many ways, the Court concluded such a case would be better judged from the perspective of the officers on the scene. On May 15, 1989, the Court announced they were unanimously in favor of Connor. The Court told the Fourth Circuit to look at the case again through the lens of the Fourth Amendment. They argued that doing that would make subjective concepts like malicious intent not applicable. Therefore, Connor was reasonably justified to assume that Graham had broken laws.
