Diabetes articles-visit http://fumix.info/diabetes-cure to know more Eating too much and exercising too little can increase your risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Insulin is a hormone made in the pancreas that allows glucose (sugar) to leave the bloodstream and enter the cells to be used as fuel. Type 2 diabetes occurs when the pancreas doesn't make enough insulin, or the cells of the body become resistant to insulin. It's not known for certain why some people develop type 2 diabetes and some do not. There are several factors, however, that can increase a person's risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Primary Causes of Type 2 Diabetes Being obese or overweight puts you at significant risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Four out of five people with type 2 diabetes are overweight or obese. "One of the links with obesity is that fat induces a mild, low-grade inflammation throughout the body that contributes to heart disease and diabetes," says Vivian Fonseca, MD, professor of medicine and pharmacology and chief of endocrinology at Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Excess fat, especially abdominal fat, also changes the way that your body responds to insulin, leading to a condition called insulin resistance. With this condition, your cells cannot use insulin to process blood sugar out of the blood, resulting in high blood sugar levels. While not everyone with insulin resistance develops diabetes, people with insulin resistance are at increased risk of type 2 diabetes. Poor Eating Habits Eating too much of the wrong kinds of foods can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes. Studies have shown that eating a diet of calorie-dense, refined foods and beverages, such as sodas or fruit juices, and too little raw fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can significantly increase your risk of type 2 diabetes. Get Quick, Easy Diabetes Management Tips in Our Free Guide Too Much TV Time An analysis of health and nutrition data from a nationally representative sample of adults between the ages of 20 and 54 years of age showed that people who watched television more than two hours a day were more likely than their peers to be obese and to have diabetes. This is probably due to snacking while watching TV. The study found that the frequent TV watchers consumed, on average, 137 more calories a day than their peers. Conversely, the data indicated that cutting TV time back to less than 10 hours a week and adding a daily 30-minute walk led to 43 percent fewer cases of diabetes in the study group. Physical Inactivity Just as body fat interacts with insulin and other hormones to affect diabetes development, so does muscle. Lean muscle mass, which can be increased through exercise and strength training, plays a role in protecting the body against insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. A six-month study of 117 older men and women with abdominal obesity recently demonstrated that a mix of aerobic and resistance training exercises helped to reduce insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is a defense mechanism against the toxic effects of sugar. The body will then compensates by then making more insulin, which causes damages to 4 main cells: endothelial cells (arteries), the retinal cells, the kidney cells and the nerve cells (peripheral cells). These 4 types of cells do not regulate glucose like the rest of the cells in the body. Of course, to prevent diabetes type 2, you need to avoid sugar, get on a low carb diet, and consume lots of nutrient rich nutrients and healthy fats, as well as use intermittent fasting, which can also lower your risks and stress on the insulin hormone. There is something in the mitochondria that gets damaged BEFORE you can even get insulin resistance. Vitamin B1 helps reduce the damage in the mitochondria and if you took a version of B1 called Benfotamine, you could reduce the destruction even more. Hi Guys, Dr. Berg here. In this video I want to share with you some unique insights in preventing diabetes. In most videos that I have I talk about insulin resistance, how to get into ketogenic diet, how to do intermittent fasting to help you with this condition but I want to give you some more understanding of the effects of insulin resistance and what precedes that. The first thing you need to know is that the insulin resistance is really a defense mechanism of the body. It is a protective mechanism against the toxic effect of sugar. What happens is your body develops resistance against insulin to stop the sugar from going into the cell because too much sugar is really bad for the cells. One of the problems with insulin resistance is the body will make a lot more insulin to try to create the effect. We have this protective mechanism and when you don’t change your ways, your body just makes more insulin to drive it through to make it connect because it is trying to lower the sugar so eventually you become a diabetic type 2 and your sugars starts getting higher and higher. 5 Exercise Tips for People With Type 2 Diabetes - Article Health

02:39
5 Exercise Tips for People With Type 2 Diabetes - Article Health Get a move on Exercise is safe—and highly recommended—for most people with type 2 diabetes, including those with complications. Along with diet and medication, exercise will help you lower blood sugar and lose weight. Try quick workouts As long as you're totaling 30 minutes of exercise each day, several brief workouts are fine, says George Griffing, MD, professor of endocrinology at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Focus on overall activity Increase activity in general—such as walking or climbing stairs—rather than a particular type of exercise. Get a pedometer Stanford University researchers conducted a review of 26 studies looking at the use of pedometers as motivation for physical activity. Published in 2007, the review found that people who used a pedometer increased their activity by 27%. Work out with a friend Working out with friends can be an important motivator, particularly for people over 60, according to Vicki Conn, PhD, the associate dean for research at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., who has studied diabetes and exercise. Set specific, attainable goals For example, you might set a goal of walking 10 minutes every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Is Turmeric Good For Diabetes

03:52
Is Turmeric Good or Bad For Diabetes Download Diabetes Management Book: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Hello, I'm Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com, researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I'm going to answer the question, is turmeric good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you download my free diabetes management book which also includes diabetes grocery shopping guide (foods to eat and avoid) by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH I am sure many of you have heard of turmeric, but do you really know what it is? Turmeric is an herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family. It has been used in the Middle East and East India for years and has a peppery flavor. It is a very popular spice now worldwide. You probably recognize the taste as the main spice in curry. But turmeric is much more than a flavoring aid in cooking. I have found in my research that has been used for medicinal purposes for everything from arthritis to flatulence. It is used as an enema and skin cream. But what about the uses for turmeric in regards to diabetes? That is the question posed. Recent claims concerning turmeric have many people taking notice of this spice. Can turmeric prevent or actually reverse Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes? An article published in the International Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism in October, 2014 makes a pretty remarkable statement concerning turmeric and diabetes. The article focused on studies from 1998 to 2013. These studies looked at the key component in turmeric, curcumin, and its effects on insulin resistance. The conclusion of the article, after reviewing all the studies, was that curcumin can reduce blood glucose levels. The article also concludes that “more studies evaluating the effects of curcumin on hyperglycemic state and insulin resistance in related disorders such as diabetes are recommended.” Another study, published in the American Diabetes publication, “Diabetes Care” found that after a 9 month curcumin intervention in pre-diabetic subjects, a significant population of those studied did not develop Type 2 diabetes. Now, this is not to say that using turmeric will cure diabetes, as some have claimed. It does suggest that curcumin has properties to help prevent and aid in the control of diabetes. A major plus also is that turmeric is a readily available, relatively inexpensive spice. So, is turmeric good for diabetes? Yes it is. Is it a cure? Well, more research has to be done to determine that. But in my research I have found that turmeric has few, if any, side effects and can help lower blood glucose levels. I am not ready to throw away my diabetes medication yet, but I will consider adding turmeric to my diet. As always, I suggest you consult your health care provider before taking any supplements that contain curcumin and monitor your blood sugar regularly if you do decide to add turmeric to your diet. I hope this answered your question is turmeric good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management book by clicking the link: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Let me know if you have any other diabetes related questions.

Could You Have Type 2 10 Diabetes Symptoms - Article Health

02:18
Could You Have Type 2 10 Diabetes Symptoms - Article Health Diabetes symptoms Diabetes affects 24 million people in the U.S., but only 18 million know they have it. About 90% of those people have type 2 diabetes. Increased urination, excessive thirst If you need to urinate frequently—particularly if you often have to get up at night to use the bathroom—it could be a symptom of diabetes. Weight loss Overly high blood sugar levels can also cause rapid weight loss, say 10 to 20 pounds over two or three months—but this is not a healthy weight loss. Hunger Excessive pangs of hunger, another sign of diabetes, can come from sharp peaks and lows in blood sugar levels. Skin problems Itchy skin, perhaps the result of dry skin or poor circulation, can often be a warning sign of diabetes, as are other skin conditions, such as acanthosis nigricans. Slow healing Infections, cuts, and bruises that don't heal quickly are another classic sign of diabetes. visit http://fumix.info/diabetes-cure to know more -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diabetes articles Diabetes is a serious complex condition which can affect the entire body. Diabetes requires daily self care and if complications develop, diabetes can have a significant impact on quality of life and can reduce life expectancy. While there is currently no cure for diabetes, you can live an enjoyable life by learning about the condition and effectively managing it. There are different types of diabetes; all types are complex and serious. The three main types of diabetes are type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes. How does diabetes affect the body? When someone has diabetes, their body can’t maintain healthy levels of glucose in the blood. Glucose is a form of sugar which is the main source of energy for our bodies. Unhealthy levels of glucose in the blood can lead to long term and short term health complications. For our bodies to work properly we need to convert glucose (sugar) from food into energy. A hormone called insulin is essential for the conversion of glucose into energy. In people with diabetes, insulin is no longer produced or not produced in sufficient amounts by the body. When people with diabetes eat glucose, which is in foods such as breads, cereals, fruit and starchy vegetables, legumes, milk, yoghurt and sweets, it can’t be converted into energy. Instead of being turned into energy the glucose stays in the blood resulting in high blood glucose levels. After eating, the glucose is carried around your body in your blood. Your blood glucose level is called glycaemia. Blood glucose levels can be monitored and managed through self care and treatment. Three things you need to know about diabetes: It is not one condition- there are three main types of diabetes: type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes All types of diabetes are complex and require daily care and management Diabetes does not discriminate, anyone can develop diabetes Diabetes is serious Diabetes can be managed well but the potential complications are the same for type 1 and type 2 diabetes including heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, limb amputation, depression, anxiety and blindness. We know diabetes: Is the leading cause of blindness in working age adults Is a leading cause of kidney failure and dialysis Increases the risk of heart attacks and stroke by up to 4 times Is a major cause of limb amputations Affects mental health as well as physical health. Depression, anxiety and distress occur in more than 30% of all people with diabetes Diabetes articles

Can Diabetes Be Reversed?

WHAT VIDEO TOPIC ARE YOU INTERESTED: https://www.drberg.com/video-idea-survey/video-topic Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 DATA: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(17)33102-1/fulltext?elsca1=tlpr In this video, Dr. Berg answers the question of can diabetes be reversed. In the American Diabetes Association Website, it says Type 2 diabetes remission without surgery does happen but very rarely. He also talks about Virta treatment, a treatment that is putting people on healthy ketosis diet. They have done research and they found out that 60% reversal of Diabetes Type 2 using Ketogenic Diet and 94% of insulin users reduced or eliminated usage after one year. Hey guys, today we are gonna answer the question can diabetes actually be reversed. I think what we need to do with that answer is to go to the experts. Of course I went to the American Diabetes Association Website and I printed out an article I just want to go through some highlights. Type 2 Diabetes Remission Without Surgery Does Happen—But Very Rarely. However, there have been cases of type 2 diabetes remission (a state in which all signs and symptoms of diabetes disappear). Most often, this happens in people who have had weight loss surgery. Rarely, it has also been reported in people who have made lifestyle changes only. So we can make changes but it is very rare. What did the researchers find? Over 7 years, 1.47 percent of the entire group had a partial remission, 0.14 percent had a complete remission, and 0.007 percent had a prolonged remission. Overall, 1.60 percent of the entire group (4.6 percent of those who had been diagnosed for less than 2 years) had some sort of remission. Okay so that is pretty pathetic, 1.6% is not very good. So what are the implications of the study? Type 2 diabetes remission can occur in people who have not had weight loss surgery, but it is very, very rare. Applying the results of this study to the entire 25.6 million Americans with type 2 diabetes suggests that 384,000 people could have some type of remission in the next 7 years. However, only 1,800 people would have a remission lasting at least 5 years. So the question I want to know is what did you feed them? And you can’t find this information out with a study so I could not find out what they fed them. So I did some searching and I found some real interesting data on ketogenic diet. It is called the Virta Treatment. It is putting people in healthy ketosis diet. They have done research and they found 60% of reversal of diabetes type 2 using ketogenic diet after one year. 60% reversal, that is a little higher than 1.6% right and on top of that, 94% of insulin users reduced or eliminated usage after one year. Here’s a thing, on a daily basis, I am seeing people on a ketogenic diet with a massive changes in their blood sugars, coming off their medications, no longer becoming diabetic. SO if you want to actually improve your results from 1.6% to 60% do the ketogenic diet but do it healthily. Dr. Sarah Hallberg - Type 2 Diabetes Reversal

Filmed at the Emerging Science of Carbohydrate Restriction and Nutritional Ketosis, Scientific Sessions at The Ohio State University Learn more at https://blog.virtahealth.com/category/science-research/ An impressive body of scientific evidence over the last 15 years documents long term benefits of carbohydrate-restricted, especially ketogenic, diets. We now understand molecular mechanisms and why they work. Popular books and articles now challenge the advice ‘carbohydrates are good and fats are bad.’ Circa mid-19th century urinary ketones were identified in diabetics sealing their toxic label for the next 150 years. Despite work four decades ago showing ketones were highly functional metabolites, they are still misidentified as toxic byproducts of fat metabolism. The vilification of fat by regulatory and popular dogma perpetuates this myth. But the nutrition-metabolic landscape is improving dramatically. A growing number of researchers have contributed to what is now a critical mass of science that provides compelling clinical evidence that ketogenic diets uniquely benefit weight loss, pre-diabetes, and type-2 diabetes. In the last five years, basic scientists have discovered that b-hydroxybutyrate (BHB), the primary circulating ketone, is a potent signaling molecule that decreases inflammation and oxidative stress. BHB has been suggested to be a longevity metabolite, with strong support from recently published mouse studies showing decreased midlife mortality and extended longevity and healthspan. Although type-2 diabetes is often described as a chronic progressive disease, emerging evidence indicates that sustained nutritional ketosis can reverses the disease. There is growing interest in studying potential therapeutic effects of ketosis on cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. There are even reasons certain athletes may benefit from nutritional ketosis and ketone supplements ─ debunking the long-standing dogma that high carbohydrate intake is required to perform optimally. With the support of the well-established Ohio State Food Innovation Center, this conference will bring together the top experts in these fields to share what has been achieved and what remains to be done to advance this exciting field of scientific discovery.

Best Fruit for Diabetics - http://www.bestfruitfordiabetics.com/ As a diabetic you are probably asking the question - What is the best fruit for Diabetics? Well I've come across an article by Dr. Mercola that certainly lends some information to this question. In fact his article is entitled "Certain Fruits May Be Linked to a Lower Risk of Type 2 Diabetes" And he says that you are probably familiar with the controversial stance on fructose and the article goes on to talk about fact that you maybe able to reduce you risk of type 2 diabetes with your fruit choice. The article goes on to read... "Can You Reduce Your Risk of Type 2 Diabetes with Your Fruit Choices?" "While fruits are recommended as a measure for diabetes prevention, previous studies have found mixed results for total fruit consumption. Our findings provide novel evidence suggesting that certain fruits may be especially beneficial for lowering diabetes risk." I think the article is certainly worth the read. I was also happy to see him talking about all of the other artificial fruit items that have been created and how they can impact on your diabetes. Type II Diabetes - Are you taking rat poison?

15:20
Check out my website: http://HelpCureMyDiabetes.com Vitamin D is the basis for rat poison. You need small amounts, it is true. But if you get too much, the over-dosage symptoms are remarkably similar to the symptoms of type II diabetes. Here is my response to Life Extension email to me. There is something missing from your reply. even if there are all these benefits from taking vitamin d, you have missed answering the central question that I asked - What if too much vitamin D could be one of the factors in the development od type 2 diabetes? I did a simple search looking for articles on the half life of vitamin D, and I found this one which suggests that the half life could be be as high as a year! http://mobile.nutraingredients.com/Research/Vitamin-D-has-longer-than-expected-half-life-Tests-may-not-show-true-plateau I know you want to believe that you are the good guys helping people to live better lives. But now, with this new information which is missing from your reply, I don't think you can continue to sell a vitamin supplement with such a high concentration of vitamin D. i can foresee a scenario where someone, and I do not include myself in that group, saying that you deliberately continued selling even after you were aware of this information, just so you could make more money. I am just happy to have my fasting blood sugar going down, in the right direction, and my peripheral neuropathy receding again. I don't think the increase in blood sugar and the neuropathy were some type of placebo effect. Who would want to wish this on themselves? It is not a happy prospect to look forward to at least another 3 months of this. In the video it thought it would be a couple of weeks, at most. In order to help others, I am posting this reply to you in the description of the video. I am also posting what I can of your response, for others to see. In your email, you mention that the amount of vitamin D in the Two-Per-Day is 500% of the daily value. For your reference, many supplement companies base percentages of the nutrients listed based on their recommended dietary allowance (RDA). RDAs set by the Food and Nutrition Board for nutrients are typically significantly lower than the doses that are present in our products. This is because the RDA is the average daily intake that is sufficient to meet the nutrient requirements of about 98% of healthy individuals. Consuming only the RDA for a nutrient may be enough to avoid a nutrient deficiency. The purpose of the RDA is to avoid nutrient deficiencies, while the goal of Life Extension is not only to avoid deficiencies, but to promote optimal health and well-being. Therefore, we suggest intakes which are higher than the RDA (in most cases) because these higher doses have been shown to not only reduce the risk of deficiency, but to also provide significant support to protect against and manage many age-related conditions. We noticed that in your video you mention that vitamin D’s use in rat poison is a cause for concern about its use in supplements. However, upon researching this topic, we found that vitamin D’s use as a rodenticide is unique, and it is in fact not as likely to be a cause for concern in other animals or humans. Research has revealed that the size and the cardiovascular system of the animal are major contributing factors in why vitamin D affects rats so acutely. Rodents which consume rodenticide containing vitamin D experience a system failure due to calcification of the circulatory system. This happens due to the rise in vitamin D blood levels, which cause cells in the small intestine to absorb more calcium. Higher vitamin D levels also cause bone to release calcium in the presence of parathyroid hormone, and the kidneys to reabsorb more calcium. This is turn results in a rise in blood calcium levels. In rats, calcium levels tend to rise so quickly that hormone regulation, which would normally counteract the process in other organisms, fails to do so. Additionally, it can be seen that these effects are unique to rodents because raised blood calcium levels in higher mammals as well as in avian species are known to be effectively regulated by the more rapid response of the thyroid hormone calcitonin, which counteracts parathyroid hormone, thus interrupting the process of calcium release initiated by vitamin D3. Here is a link to a study which describes this occurrence: http://digitalcommons.unl.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1021&context=vpc11 Here is the link to Dr. Mercola's article. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2003/12/27/vitamin-d-quiz.aspx Is vitamin d a cause for type 2 diabetes? The Remarkable Benefits of Okinawan Diet for Type 2 Diabetics

For full article, please go to: https://www.selfprinciple.org/remarkable-benefits-okinawan-diet-type-2-diabetics/ Website: https://www.selfprinciple.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/SELF_Principle Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SELFPrinciple.org Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/selfprinciple/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/selfprinciple/ The obesity and type 2 diabetes epidemic continues to increase. Although, there have been multiple explanations, the central theme continues to revolve around nutritionally poor, energy dense diets and sedentary lifestyles. The research has consistently shown that high intakes of whole-grains, whole plant based foods and low amounts of red meat, sugar, salt and high fat foods are essential foundations of a healthy lifestyle. In fact, these are the basic principles in the Mediterranean, DASH, plant based and Okinawan diets. So, what would happen to someone’s weight and diabetes, if they diligently followed these principles? Lucky for us, we have a wonderful study looking at just that. In a 28 week (12 weeks intervention and 16 weeks follow-up), prospective study, the authors looked at the effects of an Okinawan-based Nordic diet on 30 type 2 diabetic participants. After the 12-week intervention, there was an average of 14 pounds (6.2kg) weight loss. This was despite the fact that the average calorie intake was 1900 kcal/day. We already know that just 11 pounds of weight loss can reduce the risk of diabetes as much as 50%. There is also lots of literature showing that 5% weight loss can result in lower sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesterol. The participants achieved a 7% weight loss in this study. Even more remarkable was the fact that average hemoglobin A1c (a test that tells your average blood sugar over last 3 months) dropped by 20%. This is better those most oral diabetes medications. Although the study had some remarkable results, there were some important limitations to be aware of. First, this was a small study (only 30 people) with a short duration (28 weeks total). In addition, there was no control arm. Despite these shortcomings, it is still incredible to see the power of food. The take home message of this study is very simple: a whole foods diet built around whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes and low in salt, sugar, fat and processed foods should be the staple for every diabetic. #diabetes #health #okinawan

Diabetes type 1 and type 2 definition and facts

08:12
Diabetes type 1 and type 2 definition and facts Share Your Story Diabetes is a chronic condition associated with abnormally high levels of sugar (glucose) in the blood. Insulin produced by the pancreas lowers blood glucose. Absence or insufficient production of insulin, or an inability of the body to properly use insulin causes diabetes. The two types of diabetes are referred to as type 1 and type 2. Former names for these conditions were insulin-dependent and non-insulin-dependent diabetes, or juvenile onset and adult onset diabetes. Symptoms of type 1 and type 2 diabetes include increased urine output, excessive thirst, weight loss, hunger, fatigue, skin problems slow healing wounds, yeast infections, and tingling or numbness in the feet or toes. Some of the risk factors for getting diabetes include being overweight or obese, leading a sedentary lifestyle, a family history of diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), and low levels of the "good" cholesterol (HDL) and elevated levels of triglycerides in the blood. If you think you may have prediabetes or diabetes contact a health-care professional. What is diabetes? Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) levels that result from defects in insulin secretion, or its action, or both. Diabetes mellitus, commonly referred to as diabetes (as it will be in this article) was first identified as a disease associated with "sweet urine," and excessive muscle loss in the ancient world. Elevated levels of blood glucose (hyperglycemia) lead to spillage of glucose into the urine, hence the term sweet urine. Normally, blood glucose levels are tightly controlled by insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas. Insulin lowers the blood glucose level. When the blood glucose elevates (for example, after eating food), insulin is released from the pancreas to normalize the glucose level by promoting the uptake of glucose into body cells. In patients with diabetes, the absence of insufficient production of or lack of response to insulin causes hyperglycemia. Diabetes is a chronic medical condition, meaning that although it can be controlled, it lasts a lifetime. -reference: https://www.medicinenet.com/diabetes_mellitus/article.htm
