In Theology, metanoia is used to refer to the change of mind which is brought about in repentance. The prefix "meta-" carries with it other variants that are consistent with the Eastern Greek philosophical mindset, "Meta-" is additionally used to imply "beyond" and "outside of." E.g., metamorphosis as a beyond-change; and, metaphysics as outside the limits of physics. The Greek term for repentance, metanoia, denotes a change of mind, a reorientation, a fundamental transformation of outlook, of an individual's vision of the world and of her/himself, and a new way of loving others and the Universe. In the words of a second-century text, The Shepherd of Hermas, it implies "great understanding," discernment. In Carl Jung's psychology, metanoia indicates a spontaneous attempt of the psyche to heal itself of unbearable conflict by melting down and then being reborn in a more adaptive form. The Most Forgettable Marvel Cinematic Universe Characters SUBSCRIBE NOW to CBR! Click here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR Marvel Studios has introduced us to so many MCU characters over the years that it’s honestly hard to keep track of them all. Some of them are incredibly important like the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Mad Titan Thanos, but others are a bit more forgettable. In fact, we think there are some characters the Marvel Cinematic Universe wants us to forget about, so today, we’re going to take a look at some of them. Do you remember Jane Foster, Thor’s love interest from the first Thor movie and Thor: The Dark World? What ever happened to her? Thor was supposed to be in love with Jane and now she’s nowhere to be seen. While she left the MCU because she wasn’t happy with the director change in the second Thor movie, she has hinted at making a return, not that we’d even want her too. Sorry not sorry. Then, you have the whole evil organization known as HYDRA. They’ve been around since World War II, but they’re nowhere to be seen since Captain America: The Winter Soldier. What have they been up to since that movie? Are we just supposed to forget about them? We did see Red Skull make a surprise appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, but he wasn’t wearing any HYDRA gear. There are more characters the MCU wants us to forget that just these, so enjoy the video and don’t forget to subscribe to CBR for more MCU content. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our Social Media: https://twitter.com/CBR https://www.facebook.com/ComicBookResources https://plus.google.com/+ComicBookResources Our Website https://www.cbr.com

A local author says Bedford needs to make more of its most famous son, John Bunyan and his book The Pilgrim's Progress, which is the third most published book in history. Ruth Broomhall, co-author of To Be A Pilgrim, recently organised a project to help schools around Bedford teach children about the tale and its author. John Bunyan's book is an epic tale symbolising the good man’s pilgrimage through life, following the main character Christian as he faces distractions, challenges, and perils at every turn of the way. But, as all good heroes do, he ends victorious, with helpful guides, helping him on the narrow path to the distant Celestial City. John Bunyan was born in Elstow in 1628. At 16, he joined the Parliamentary Army during the civil war. After the war he returned home, becoming interested in religion after he was married. When the reformation of the monarchy outlawed non-conformist Christianity, Bunyan was arrested for refusing to stop preaching and spent twelve years in a jail on Bedford Town Bridge. It's here that he started The Pilgrim's Progress which was published a few years after his release. It is regarded as one of the most significant works of religious English literature and had been translated into more than 200 languages. It has never been out of print. Ruth says while Bunyan's tale was written in 1678, it's as important now as ever: "The characters in The Pilgrim’s Progress are as relevant to children today as they were in previous centuries. "The story is timeless, inclusive and challenging, but also great fun." A new animated film, starring John Rhys-Davis, has also been made and is due to be released in the USA mid-April but a UK release date is still to be announced. Film makers have said: "This is the first ever, feature length CGI animated film, of the world's 2nd most important book in history." The Pilgrim’s Progress was the second best selling book, behind the Bible, for centuries. More recently, however, it was overtaken by Harry Potter, but its influence still continues far and wide, with a John Bunyan 'theme' even having been built in South Korea. "John Bunyan is famous around the world with visitors from the United States, Europe and even South Korea turning up regularly in coaches to his birthplace of Elstow, and the Bunyan Church and Museum, Mill Street, Bedford," added Ruth. "Yet his life and work is not part of our local curriculum.” The resource packs Ruth delivered to schools included The Pilgrim’s Progress curriculum and frieze as well as additional material from The Word Bookshop, Castle Road, Bedford, John Bunyan Museum and Day One Publications. The materials are available also available at www.palacebeautiful.co.uk, named after a significant building in the story, and The Word bookshop, Castle Road, and John Bunyan Museum and Church, Castle Road. Funding for the resources come via the local Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) and the Westhill Foundation.

By mid-century there will likely be 9 billion people on the planet, consuming ever more resources and leading ever more technologically complex lives. What will our cities be like? How will we eat in the future of Earth? Will global warming trigger catastrophic changes, or will we be able to engineer our way out of the world climate crisis? In the future world demographic changes will certainly be dramatic. #iitutor #English #RabbitProofFence https://www.iitutor.com https://blog.gradeproof.com/need-more-inspiration-on-how-to-improve-your-writing/ You can also watch relevant video lessons: Part 2 Rabbit Proof Fence Film Review https://youtu.be/0mwbL8ZzyTk Part 3 Rabbit Proof Fence Film Techniques https://youtu.be/Nevxl-QMe0g This lesson talks about stolen generation in HSC English Online. Set in Western Australia during the 1930s, the film begins in the remote town of Jigalong where three children, sisters Molly 14, and Daisy ,8, who live with their mother and grandmother, and Gracie,10-12, their cousin. The town lies along the northern part of Australia's rabbit-proof fence, which runs for several thousand miles. Thousands of miles away, the "protector" of Western Australian Aborigines, A.O. Neville, signs an order to relocate the three girls to his re-education camp. The children are referred to by Neville as "half-castes", having one white and one black parent. Neville's reasoning is that the Aboriginal peoples of Australia are a danger to themselves and must be bred out of existence. The children are forcibly taken from Jigalong and taken to the camp at Moore River to the south. Half-castes that are of a certain age live at the camps and are taught to become servants for the whites living in Australia. Molly, Gracie, and Daisy decide to walk back home to Jigalong and escape the camp. An Aboriginal tracker, Moodoo, is called in to find them. However, the girls are well versed in disguising their tracks. They evade Moodoo several times, receiving aid from strangers in the harsh Australian country they travel. They eventually find the rabbit-proof fence, knowing that they can follow it north to Jigalong. Neville soon figures out their motive and sends Moodoo and a local constable, Riggs, after them. However, though he is an experienced tracker, Moodoo is unable to find them. Neville spreads word that Gracie's mother is waiting for her in the town of Wiluna who finds its way to a man who "helps" the girls who then tells Gracie about her mother and that they can get to Wiluna by train, causing her to later break off from the group and attempting to go to Wiluna by train. Molly and Daisy soon walk after her, finding her at a train depot. They are not reunited however, as Riggs appears and Gracie is re-captured. Knowing they are helpless to aide her, Molly and Daisy continue on. After several more weeks of following the fence, eluding their trackers and trekking through a vast expanse of open desert, the two sisters arrive close to Jigalong, it being implied that their mother and grandmother guided them there through ritual chanting. Though Riggs is waiting there, the town's women have been chanting heavily in the brush, a ritual that Riggs seems frightened of. As he moves through the brush looking for the girls, he encounters two of the women, Molly's and Daisy's mother and grandmother, one, their mother, brandishing a sharpened stick. Riggs is frightened away and Molly and Daisy find their family. The epilogue of the film shows recent footage of Molly and Daisy. Molly explains that Gracie died by then; that she had never got to go back to Jigalong. Molly also states that she had her own two daughters who were taken from her and how she successfully escaped with one, Annabelle, in much the same manner as in her childhood; she walked the length of the fence back home. But Annabelle, when she was 3 years old, was taken away, much like her mother. Molly never saw her again. In closing, Molly says that she and Daisy "...Will never go back to Moore River. Never." which was caused by stolen generation. EJH5R1 http://youtu.be/ICxQoetmYNc

LBCC - Information Competency for Film Students Special Thanks to Librarians Colin, Gail and Judith at LBCC Now, let’s take a look at Long Beach City College’s LAC campus library. Let’s just see what books about film we can find at this location. From looking at the catalogue, we search with ‘film’ as the subject and we limit the search to the library at the LAC location, and in the format of printed books. And, we can see we have 350 results. We can see the first record, a book called ‘Light and Film’ has the call letters starting with TR. The Library of Congress classifies books with call letters starting with TR to be in the subject of Photography. The second and third records, books called ‘American Silent Film’ and ‘Film Encyclopedia’ have the call numbers PN1993, which, respectively, under the Library of Congress classification system, is the subject ‘motion pictures’. So, let’s go to the PN stacks, here at the library. After I found the Film Encyclopedia, I stumbled upon a book on Star Trek costumes, sets and prop designs in the ‘motion pictures’ section PN1993. Feel free to browse around, especially, if you’re stumped and need to find research topics. This, here, is the ‘Light and Film’ book in the Photography section in TR. Cinematography and Screenwriting are also relevant subjects to look up. Now, let’s say we’re taking a Film class that required thinking critically about a certain film, its influences, or maybe how it affected people at the time of its release. Now, let’s consider Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Coppola was highly inspired by Murnau’s Nosferatu, which many critics today claim to be a classic and highly influential film. That may be the case upon looking back, but maybe, I want to research how people reacted to Nosferatu in the 1920’s. Well, let’s gather some basic knowledge about Nosferatu from imdb.com ( and we can see that it was released in 1922. The New York Times was definitely one of the most popular periodicals in the world, so I’m feeling confident that we’ll find a review of Nosferatu. But, it looks like they don’t have anything for 1922. I looked at Wikipedia and read that it was released in America, seven years later, in 1929. Now, I found the article, released June 4th, 1929 and was surprised to see that it was a pretty negative review about the film, where the author said, the backgrounds look like ‘cardboard cutouts’, not scary, and puts you to sleep. Now, was this merely just the opinion of one person? Or was there something about the culture of that era of when this film was released that could possibly lead people to think this way? If we wanted to do some research on that era, we can find that old review and look at the surrounding articles and advertisements and try to get an idea of what was going on at that time, therefore, considering the movie in context of its time. Well, the article, as presented online, only says the date, but without reading the whole newspaper, we can find out the page and section by looking it up in the New York Times Index. The New York Times Index is a book that helps us find an article and it is organized by date and subject. Let’s go to the catalog and type ‘b8:reference’ in the keyword so the search engine will pull up results found in the reference section. The title will be ‘The New York Times Index’. Even though it’s a book, we still have to select the format ‘Journal/Magazine’. As we can see from the record, we can find this index in the LAC Reference Collection under the call number AI, which is for Indexes. We pull out the New York Times Index book of the correct Year and Month. Then we search by subject and look under ‘Motion Pictures’ for Nosferatu. We find ‘Motion Pictures’ but, instead, we are redirected to look under, ‘Moving Pictures’. We find the entry for Nosferatu and we can confirm the article was in June 4, 1929 and now we also discovered that we can find it on page 29, section 3. Since it takes up a lot of room in the library to store newspapers since 1929, we have microfilms that compact and consolidate sets of newspapers and is in a format that makes the content easier to preserve. Just open the drawer, find the correct film roll and and follow the instructions on how to load the roll and operate the machine. So, we found our review of Nosferatu and we can see what other movies came out at that time, current events and advertisements; all things that show what was culturally popular in that era. And from further research, in this style on whatever films we may study, we now know how to pull up original resources to help us think and write critically about films.

The Most Intense Supehero vs. Superhero Moments in MCU History SUBSCRIBE NOW to CBR! Click here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR Related CBR article: https://www.cbr.com/video-best-hero-fights-mcu/ It’s not easy surviving in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially when you’re a superhero. There’s definitely no shortage of villains running around and, yet, somehow, our heroes seem to keep fighting among themselves. These battles are often even more intense and emotional than the big boss fights at the end of movies! Today, we’re going to be looking at some of the most epic hero vs. hero matchups to ever take place in the MCU. Of course, we all know about the infamous airport fight which took place in the movie Captain America: Civil War. Although it was kicked off by Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, it was a veritable who’s who of superheroes and they were all trying to take each other down. It seems like people are always either fighting with Bucky Barnes or fighting over him. Some heroes struggle to differentiate friend from foe, such as when we saw the Incredible Hulk vs. Thor in the Grandmaster’s arena from Thor: Ragnarok. We’ve also seen some super close friends locked in a fight for their lives including Black Widow and Clint Barton in Avengers: Endgame. What do you think is the best fight scene involving two heroes which took place in the MCU? We know there’s no shortage of examples to choose from. This is the story of a filmmaker who was born to a nomadic family in a village called Gya, 70 km from Leh. He started shooting with basic equipment, no formal training, no connections in the world of cinema and just a sincere intent of wanting to take the stories of his land and people to the world. His films have now received international acclaim. His film Jungwa - The Broken Balance won the Jury Award at 29th Mountain International Film Festival and The Shepherdess Of The Glaciers won the Grand Prize at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival. The later is a film about his sister and was shot in extreme conditions including braving temperatures of -32 degrees Celsius, heavy snowfall and carrying a 30-kg load of film equipment, while trekking up with his sister and coming back down every seven days to recharge batteries for the shoot. THE WATERBOTTLE DIARY Inspired by our precious childhood memories and the simplicity of the water bottle that holds the clear and fluid liquid, quintessential for our very existence, we hope our stories will take you back to the basics and sometimes back in time, to a space that'll both inspire and entertain.

The Most Divisive Moments In Marvel Avengers Endgame SUBSCRIBE NOW to CBR! Click here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR Related CBR article: https://www.cbr.com/video-divisive-parts-avengers-endgame/ It’s impossible to have a movie taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that’s going to please 100% of the audience. We had been waiting years and years for the release of Avengers: Endgame so, understandably, some fans were more than a little bit critical of its content. Today, we’re going to talk about some divisive movements you either loved or hated depending on your point of view. Some people were excited to see Captain Marvel show up and rescue Tony Stark and Nebula while others were upset she seemed to be sidelined for the majority of the movie. Other fans were taken aback by one of the major movie decisions made by Steve Rogers and some weren’t happy about who ended up being named the new Captain America. We also got to see the conclusion of a character arc featuring Bruce Banner, but not everyone knows how to feel about Professor Hulk now being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Natasha Romanoff has had an inconsistent role in the MCU, through no fault of her own, and some resent the fact that we now know Black Widow is pretty much going to have to be a prequel. What do you think about these events that unfolded in Avengers: Endgame? Make sure to stop by the comments section and tell us if you loved them or if you hated them. LBCC Information Competency for Film Students Special Thanks to Librarians Colin, Gail and Judith at LBCC Now, what if we wanted to learn more about the technical aspects of filmmaking, like seeing and reading about how equipment is used? A fellow colleague recommended that I check out an issue of American Cinematographer. However, LBCC, at this moment does not carry it. Well, upon searching for it in the online catalog, the nearby University, CSULB, Cal State Long Beach, carries selected issues. Not only is CSULB’s library accessible to its current students, alumni and other members of the community, they also allow selected local community colleges, LBCC being included, to have access, as well. In order to get a library card from CSULB, we go to the circulation desk, and provide our Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, LBCC College Services card, a Driver’s License or ID Card, and Social Security Number. After they input our information in their system, we’ll be ready to check out materials and have access to their databases. Now, let’s look for American Cinematographer, which will be on the Lower Level. So, I grabbed an issue that shows the behind-the-scenes photos of The Force Awakens. And, just like it was important to look at advertisements in an old newspaper when we were researching Nosferatu, the advertisements shown in this magazine can give us an idea of what types of filming technology could have been popular around this time. CSULB also carries magazines on screenwriting, too. And, of course, CSULB also has their own section of film books in their stacks with the call number PN1993, like, where I found this older book on making 16mm films. To find ‘Motion Picture Scripts’ go to the PN1997 stacks and to find ‘Television Scripts’ go to the PN 1992 stacks. Also, CSULB has what is called, ‘Special Collections’ on the 3rd floor. Film students might probably be interested in the MGM Music Collection, which includes “several hundred musical scores, including some original film scores” and the William Yates Collection, which “consists of television scripts, production manuals” from various shows and Walt Disney productions.

Which of these Endgame fan theories do you wish came true? Subscribe to our channel for more awesome videos: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant In a couple of years, we’re going to look back fondly on the epic build up between Infinity War and Endgame. And boy, what a payoff we got in the three hour epic. Something we all should forget? All of those crazy theories we came up with leading up to the movie. Rumors, set reports, easter eggs and comic book resources all led to some pretty whacky theories. So let’s all have a good laugh as we reflect on some Endgame ideas that didn’t exactly pan out the way we imagined. Now join us as we go through these theories and point out HOW BAD they actually were. Were you expecting Captain Marvel to lead the charge in Endgame after her solo movie? Boy, were we wrong! How about Ant-Man taking a journey up the rear of Thanos? Yep, wrong again! One of the biggest surprises in Avengers: Infinity War was the appearance and return of Red Skull. After making contact with the tesseract and getting sent to the planet Vormir, he stood as protector over the Soul Stone until Thanos and Gamora made a little visit. Many of us were focused on the loss of Gamora as Thanos obtained the Soul Stone, but some cold-hearted others were eyed in on the Red Skull himself. Now that the Soul Stone was out of his possession, what exactly happened to Red Skull? There were so many theories posted online, including some small details we found on toy boxes of all things. And once again, we were wrong! Turns out, the movie was actually a lot better with these theories not coming true. The story had plenty of surprises and great moments we are still talking about. So sit back and enjoy these End Game theories to get a taste of the speculation that was built up for MONTHS! Could Miles Morales Join The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)? SUBSCRIBE NOW to CBR! Click here: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR As we get ready to head to the theater for Spider-Man: Far From Home, we’re also preparing ourselves for the end of Phase Three and the beginning of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As we stand at the precipice of change, it seems like anything could happen, especially when the Quantum Realm, time travel and the multiverse is involved! We all know and love Peter Parker, but we also know there’s more than one way to be a hero and that hero specifically. During Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, we were introduced to Miles Morales and there’ve been more than a few hints that he exists in the MCU as well. We’ll look back to an encounter with Aaron Davis, played by Donald Glover, in Spider-Man: Homecoming and discover some surprising hints. There was also a moment in Ant-Man & the Wasp which could’ve hinted at Peter not being joined by another hero, but a well-known villain. Could father-son crime duo Norman Osborn and Harry Osborn exist in the MCU? We know we just got to see Mysterio, but could we be getting ready to experience the Green Goblin too? What do you think about the idea that we may be seeing some new heroes or villains in the MCU besides Mysterio sometime soon? http://ShazamMovie.com https://www.facebook.com/ShazamMovie/ https://twitter.com/ShazamMovie/ https://www.instagram.com/ShazamMovie/ ---- David F. Sandberg (“Annabelle: Creation”) directs New Line Cinema’s “Shazam!,” the origin story that stars Zachary Levi (TV’s “Chuck”) as the titular DC Super Hero, along with Asher Angel (TV’s “Andi Mack”) as Billy Batson, and Mark Strong (the “Kingsman” movies) in the role of Super-Villain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. Peter Safran (“Aquaman,” “The Conjuring” and “Annabelle” films) serves as the film’s producer. We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong). “Shazam!” also stars Jack Dylan Grazer (“IT”) as Billy’s best friend and ultimate superhero enthusiast, Freddy, part of the foster family that includes Mary, played by Grace Fulton (“Annabelle: Creation”); Darla, played by Faithe Herman (TV’s “This is Us”); Eugene, played by Ian Chen (TV’s “Fresh Off the Boat”); and Pedro, played by Jovan Armand (TV’s “Hawaii Five-O”). Cooper Andrews (TV’s “The Walking Dead”) and Marta Milans (TV’s “Killer Women”) play foster parents Victor and Rosa Vasquez, with Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Blood Diamond”) as the Wizard. Firmly set in the DC universe but with his own distinctly fun, family-centric tone, the screenplay is by Henry Gayden, story by Gayden and Darren Lemke. Shazam was created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck. Christopher Godsick, Jeffrey Chernov, Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia serve as executive producers. Sandberg’s creative team includes his “Annabelle: Creation” director of photography Maxime Alexandre, production designer Jennifer Spence, editor Michel Aller and costume designer Leah Butler. A New Line Cinema production, “Shazam!” is set for release on April 5, 2019. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

It's civil war in suburbia between two young siblings. ➤ SUBSCRIBE: http://sub2.omele.to A Modest Defeat is used with permission from David Barr. Learn more at http://omele.to/2Q15wSM. Two young siblings duke it out for domination in suburbia. Big brother Tommy has the advantage: he's older, bigger and tougher, and he's not afraid to play dirty, whether it's stealing his little sister Tiny's food at dinner or distracting her at a school-wide relay race so that she gets off to a late start. But Tiny has a plan to level the playing field, one that capitalizes on her smarts, ingenuity and resourcefulness -- and she goes to great lengths to score herself a small but very satisfying victory. Writer-director David Barr's cheeky, charming family comedy is a study in sibling rivalry, told with a genuine sense of sweetness that never feels too cute or cloying. Told with almost no dialogue, the storytelling nevertheless captures Tiny's world, full of the small but significant indignities that she suffers at the hands of Tommy. With a lack of dialogue, the film is reliant on good performances to communicate character and emotion. Young performer Sophia Ally plays Tiny, bringing appealing intelligence and nuance to a role that could come across as twee. She's rightfully indignant, hurt and disappointed with how Tommy treats her, but she's also smart, and goes about her plans with a sense of pluck, confidence and patience. Tom Harrison plays her brother with just the right degree of stereotypical big-brother attitude, and his behavior comes across as casually bratty, but never hateful or full of vengeance. This isn't a dysfunctional family, but an archetypal one. With a measured, gentle narrative pace and deliberate editing -- and backed by an excellently evocative musical score -- the audience watches Tiny research, trial and ultimately execute her ingenuous plan, building to a funny, endearing reveal. Tiny's achievement is not just brilliant in itself, but also in her precocious understanding of strategy. In this particular game of sibling rivalry, winning doesn't happen by being stronger or faster, but in being smarter in finding a different way to the finish line. Many family-oriented films can err on the side in cuteness, but what works in "A Modest Defeat" is how it recognizes the intensity and seriousness of the emotional life of children, even as its aesthetic decisions elevate the story to the level of a modern fairy tale. Young children in any situation often strive to feel a sense of agency and efficacy, to feel more than pawns of the bigger forces around them. They may not be scientific geniuses like Tiny, but they can rely on inner resources like cleverness, calm and equanimity to eke out the victories that build confidence and self-worth in the long run. Whether it’s his creepy smile, shapeshifting ability or the sinister side that makes him one of the most evil monsters ever put to film, you have to agree that he has a certain allure about him. To celebrate the release of IT Chapter 2 this year I thought I’d break down everything that you need to know about Pennywise including his role in the book and history. This is full spoilers ahead, so if you don’t want anything potentially ruined for yourself about the film then I highly suggest that you turn off now. With that out the way, I just wanna give a huge thank you for clicking this video, I hope you enjoy it, now sit back, relax and let’s get into my breakdown of all things Pennywise. Pennywise The Dancing Clown Explained The creature IT is actually billions of years old and is known as a Glamour. IT originates from another dimension outside of the universe known as the Macroverse. It’s real name and species are called Deadlights but as the Losers Club are unaware of this they simply refer to the creature as IT. IT refers to itself as the eater of worlds which probably means that it has drifted through the galaxy going planet to planet carrying out the parasitic attacks until it has drained a planet of all of its resources. Whilst most assume that Pennywise is male it’s actually a female and in the story, we discover that the creature is actually pregnant, though it is killed before it can give birth. IT landed in what would come to be known as Derry, thousands of years ago during an asteroid crash and it lived in the area, allowing humans to build a town around it so that is had a regular food source. IT is much of Derry as Derry is IT and thus the creature cannot leave the town. It has a hibernation pattern of 30 years and its awakening is normally marked by a huge tragedy such as the Kitchener Ironworks explosion which killed 88 children during an Easter egg hunt. According to IT, frightened flesh tastes better which is why it spends the majority of it’s time attempting to scare people. Pennywise primarily hunts children as these are easier to frighten and because the fears of adults such as bills and money worries are difficult to manifest as. Whilst the creature seems complex, it’s only goals are to eat and sleep and when awakened it tends to operate for roughly a year before returning to it’s slumber. IT eventually becomes arrogant and it begins to taunt and torture it’s prey for months before eating them which ultimately leads to it’s downfall. IT views humans as below it and thus allows them to escape sometimes as it doesn’t really see any difficulty in taking them further down the line.

Is The Marvel Timeline Messed Up After Marvel Avengers Endgame? SUBSCRIBE NOW to CBR! Click here: https://goo.gl/wMuSDD Avengers: Endgame is a movie event like no other and it’s quickly becoming one of the most successful movies of all time. The movie is so massive that it just had to be three hours long. The whole second hour of the film dealt with the Avengers jumping back to various points in time. We got to revisit New York during the battle against Loki and his Chitauri army, we traveled back to Asgard in 2013, we witnessed Star-Lord dancing to “Come and get Your Love” once again and we got to travel back to the 70’s where we saw Tony Stark sharing an emotional scene with his father. The Avengers traveled back in time to steal all six Infinity Stones so they could bring them back to their own time and use them to undo the decimation. While they were successful in doing that, not everything went according to plan. Not only did they lose Black Widow, they also ended up messing with the past. Luckily, in the MCU, the rules of time travel mean that changing the past doesn’t actually change the future of the timeline you came from, but instead creates an alternate timeline. At the end of the movie, we were led to believe that Captain America traveled back in time to fix the timelines, but we don’t think that’s the case. We believe that the actions of the Avengers can’t be undone and that all these changes have created multiple alternate timelines, with some of them being messed up forever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our Social Media: https://twitter.com/CBR https://www.facebook.com/ComicBookResources https://plus.google.com/+ComicBookResources Our Website https://www.cbr.com
