06:43
Fundamental Analysis is important before investing in a Company/ Stock. It helps the person to make an informed decision whether to invest or not. It is not only the study of the Company and its fundamentals, but also analysis of the environment in which the Company operates viz. the industry, the domestic economy and the global economy which are equally important . External factors impacting the Company, such as global recession, political turmoil, natural calamities etc. though not restricted to just one Company, are to be kept in mind while evaluating the decision to invest. ☞ Subscribe to our Channel: https://goo.gl/YqDpAu ☞ Like us on Facebook: https://goo.gl/QOJGSB ☞ Follow us on Twitter: https://goo.gl/xEJeXw ☞ Circle us on G+ https://goo.gl/zIDGA9

In particular, he highlights five investment success principles. When Stefan was 18 years old, he read a finance book called, "The Wealthy Barber”, by David Chilton. After reading this book, he realized that the most important thing that he could do was to start investing as soon as possible. The earlier you start investing, the sooner you can make mistakes and learn from them, and you have a higher risk tolerance. Stefan started from nothing, and has been able to build himself up to a millionaire, at 30 years old. Are you ready to invest in your future? 5. Warren Buffett Stock Basics

19:31
Download Preston's 1 page checklist for finding great stock picks: http://buffettsbooks.com/checklist Preston Pysh is the #1 selling Amazon author of two books on Warren Buffett. The books can be found at the following location: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0982967624/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0982967624&linkCode=as2&tag=pypull-20&linkId=EOHYVY7DPUCW3WD4 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1939370159/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1939370159&linkCode=as2&tag=pypull-20&linkId=XRE5CA2QJ3I2OWSW In lesson five, we learned that Warren Buffett has four rules that he uses for investing in stocks. All the rules must be met in order for him to purchase shares of a company. Those four rules are the following: Rule 1: A stock must be stable and understandable Rule 2: A Stock must have long term prospects Rule 3: A Stock must be managed by vigilant leaders Rule 4: A Stock must be undervalued We also learned a very basic valuation technique that Warren Buffett used when he worked for Benjamin Graham. The technique multiplies the P/E ratio by the P/BV ratio and the result needs to be lower than 22.5. A key fundamental of Warren Buffett stock basics is the idea that the stock market is nothing more than a location where he can buy or sell his shares. The market only provides a platform for him to purchase undervalued companies. He always buys on the assumption that they stock market could close tomorrow and not open for five years ñ and it would have no impact on his decision to buy a particular company. Finally, we learned that Warren Buffett possess great patience. He never tries to make enormous gains, but instead consistent gains at reasonable levels. He always thinks for himself and always determines the value of a stock based on what HE thinks a company is worth - not the market.

The top 7 things NOT to do when starting a business

I am enthusiastic about entrepreneur videos. I have searched on Youtube and Google and I always get videos/articles about what to do. I believe knowing what NOT to do is equally important. Usually, all I get is generic tips such as "dont grow too fast" but there are no concrete case studies. But when it comes to successful stories, there are specific examples we can learn from. I was thinking if maybe you can have videos/articles analysing and explaining how some real businesses failed, especially start ups. It would be great if you can use your influence to encourage entrepreneurs who have failed to share their stories with you. That way, the mistake will only be made by once because we all will have learnt from it Hopefully you'll consider my suggestion" ENGAGE * Subscribe to my channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=Modelingthemasters * Leave a comment, thumbs up the video (please!) * Suppport me: http://www.evancarmichael.com/support/ CONNECT * Twitter: https://twitter.com/evancarmichael * Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EvanCarmichaelcom * Google+: https://plus.google.com/108469771690394737405/posts * Website: http://www.evancarmichael.com EVAN * About: http://www.evancarmichael.com/about/ * Products: http://www.evancarmichael.com/zhuge/ * Coaching: http://www.evancarmichael.com/movement/ * Speaking: http://www.evancarmichael.com/speaking/ SCHEDULE * Mon - 1 Minute Mondays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM2HwduoMCpvZRhd2qE22Fg- * Tues - Tech Tuesdays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM3NGvdl33mEwdUdr19zti9s * Thurs - Thankful Thursdays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM2Scsq-0Er3mA8U3Kqz9fiV * Fri - Famous Fridays: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM30QoA2ygo5RWzfQm8y7ScL * Sun - Famous Failures: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiZj-Ik9MmM2aeaKPqI5ILrNcLjbQZDob * Your Questions - Every day! Asset Management: Industry Overview and Careers in Asset Management

04:45
Asset Management: Industry overview and Careers in Asset Management Asset Management is about managing clients’ investments and providing them with the strategies and expertise that would allow them to achieve their goals and secure their financial future. This video is part of our series dedicated to the different sub-industries in the world of Business & Finance. Our goal is to understand how it functions, what type of services it offers its clients, which are the major players in the field and what it is like to do this for a living. An individual or an institution is likely to approach an asset management firm when their investment income is substantial. In such cases, asset managers are able to offer expertise across a wide spectrum of asset classes (such as stocks, bonds, commodities, real estate, private equity, etc). Moreover, large firms have branches all over the world and are therefore able to offer geographical expertise as well. Given that asset managers closely follow all of these markets, they are able to offer high-quality advice and superior risk-return investments. The large players in the asset management industry are indeed very large. There are several companies whose assets under management exceed $1 trillion. Some of them are pure investment funds (BlackRock, Vanguard, StateStreet, Fidelity), while others are arms of the large banking conglomerates (Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, UBS, BNP). The largest firm in the world in terms of assets under management in 2015 was BlackRock. What A $1,000 Investment In Starbucks 10 Years Ago Would Be Worth Now

01:16
Coffee giant Starbucks is on an upswing: Its stock is up nearly 30% so far for 2019 and the current share price is hovering around $83. » Subscribe to CNBC Make It.: http://cnb.cx/2kxl2rf If you invested in the company 10 years ago, that decision would have paid off. A $1,000 investment made June 19, 2009, would be worth nearly $14,000 as of June 19, 2019, for a total return of about 1,300%, according to CNBC calculations. Over the same period, the S&P 500 has returned just over 280%. Part of the reason for the stock's uptick has been solid sales: Starbucks' same-store sales increased by 3% in the fiscal second quarter, more than analysts expected. Earnings per share also topped Wall Street's expectations. And many analysts predict Starbucks could keep rising. JC O'Hara, chief market technician at financial planning firm MKM Partners, said in May on CNBC's "Trading Nation" that Starbucks' upward trend was just getting started: "I think this is a perfect example of an area where we don't want to be afraid of momentum. "When stock charts like these hibernate for an extended period of time and finally break out, that breakout is powerful, and it can continue a lot longer than many people think is possible." It doesn't hurt that in May the coffee chain received what was estimated to be more than $2 billion in free advertising and publicity after a cup with what appeared to be a Starbucks label appeared in an episode of HBO's "Game of Thrones." (It doesn't matter that it turned out not to be a Starbucks cup.) "This is a once-in-a-lifetime collision of opportunity for Starbucks," said Stacy Jones, CEO of marketing company Hollywood Branded. Jones pointed to public relations subscription service Critical Mention, which tallied more than 10,000 mentions of Starbucks and "Game of Thrones" online, on TV and on radio. "This is just the tip of the iceberg," she said, "because what isn't being monitored or estimated is the word of mouth and social media on top of this." While Starbucks' stock has performed well over the years, any individual stock can over- or underperform, and past returns do not predict future results. The company is facing stiff competition overseas from Chinese rival Luckin Coffee, which recently went public, and whose strong initial sales have captured the attention of Wall Street analysts. Luckin has sold more than 110 million cups of coffee since being founded less than two years ago, according to KeyBanc Capital Markets. In addition, the company opened 2,370 stores in China and plans to add 2,500 more in 2019. Still, Starbucks is investing heavily in its future. In just four months, the company added delivery to 2,100 stores in China and is planning to launch mobile order and pay later this year. Starbucks Rewards also reached 8.3 million active Chinese members. The company also recently launched a monthlong trial of a reusable cup program at Gatwick Airport in London, and it's continuing its focus on creating better in-store experiences, developing new beverages and fine-tuning its digital capabilities throughout the U.S. and China. "We have gone from a long-cycle innovation approach to one that embraces the mantra of going from idea to action in 100 days and then learn and adapt," CEO Kevin Johnson said of the company's new Seattle-based innovation hub, the Tryer Center. "That's all about creating the entrepreneurial spirit and by doing that, it's unleashing the passion, the creativity and the energy … to accelerate the velocity of new things that show up in our stores." If you're looking to get into investing, seasoned investors such as Warren Buffett suggest you start with index funds, which hold every stock in an index, meaning they're automatically diversified and tend to be low cost. Plus, because they fluctuate with the market, they're typically less risky than picking individual stocks. How to Invest: Top 9 Ways to Invest $10,000 💰(real life strategies)

33:48
Do you remember the first time you wrote a check for $100? What about your first $1,000 check? I bet you weren't wondering how to invest $1,000 dollars then, were you? Even better, your first $10,000 check? The first time I wrote a check for $10,000 was to pay off my student loan debt. That was, by far, the best check I ever wrote! For me the choice was clear, but where to put an extra $10,000 isn't always an easy decision. I'm here to help! Here are 9 great ideas on how to smartly invest $10,000. ▶︎1. Stock Market (5:26) If you want to put your money into a virtual autopilot situation, a robo-advisor may be exactly what you’re looking for. What is a robo-advisor? It’s an online investment management platform, often referred to as a robo advisor, because everything is handled automatically for you. ✅Open an Account at Betterment here: https://www.goodfinancialcents.com/resources/betterment-youtube-invest-10k.php ▶︎2. Buying Individual Stocks (9:19) You can open an online discount brokerage account through companies like TD Ameritrade and Ally Financial. ✅TD Ameritrade https://www.goodfinancialcents.com/resources/tdameritrade-youtube-invest-10k.php ✅Ally Financial https://www.goodfinancialcents.com/resources/ally-youtube-invest-10k.php ▶︎3. Tax-free goodness - Roth IRA (11:42) You can only put $5,500 in for yourself, but you could also put in $5,500 for your spouse. Learn more about how to become a Roth IRA Millionaire here: https://youtu.be/Cy8EsjQyREo ▶︎4. Peer to Peer Lending (12:13) If you prefer fixed income investments to equities, peer-to-peer lending offers an opportunity to earn interest rates that are well above average. There are various peer-to-peer lending sites on the web already, the two I recommend are Lending Club and Prosper. Open an an account with Lending Club here: ✅https://www.goodfinancialcents.com/resources/lendingclub-youtube-invest-10k.php Prosper here: ✅https://www.goodfinancialcents.com/resources/prosper-youtube-invest-10k.php ▶︎5. Real Estate (14:14) Real estate is an excellent investment, no doubt about it. But $10,000 isn’t enough to make a down payment on the purchase of an investment property these days but that doesn’t mean that you can't invest in real estate. 🏡If you don't want to manage properties and still make money from real estate, check out Fundrise: https://www.goodfinancialcents.com/resources/fundrise-youtube-invest-10k.php ▶︎6. Annuity (20:55) You guys know I am not crazy about annuities 😆, but there are some instances where they are the better choice. If you are 5-10 years away from retirement, this may be the perfect opportunity for you to invest in some safe retirement opportunities. ▶︎7. Invest in a Business (23:15) This is yet another example of investing in yourself. By starting your own business, you put yourself in a position to take maximum advantage of your knowledge, skills and abilities. Thanks to the Internet, it’s very possible to start your own business with just a few thousand dollars. ▶︎8. Coaching Programs (26:46) When we think of investing, we generally think of putting money into assets with the hope of getting a return on the investment. Anything that you can do to improve your knowledge and skills – that will either enable you to live better, or to earn more money – is a true investment. One of the ways to do this is to put some of your money into coaching programs. ▶︎9. Cryptocurrency (30:14) Yes I finally did it- I invested some money in Bitcoin. Give a couple of these a try and see if they'll work for you! We don’t want to make a decision out of fear, rather than doing what’s best for us. And we don’t want to regret a big choice and dwell on the “what ifs” either. So today, we’re going to take a step back, understand how to really look at the decisions we’re making, and learn what not to do when facing a difficult choice. *** Crash Course is on Patreon! Chinese companies are in investing in the United States to avoid tariffs

04:07
The tit-for-tat tariff war has hurt many companies both in China and the U.S. With additional tariffs on $250 billion worth of Chinese goods in place and tariffs on more than $300 billion on the table, some Chinese companies are looking to avoid tariffs by moving their manufacturing hubs to the U.S. “I have never had so many projects in the pipeline like in the past year,” said John Ling, managing director at LinVest and president of the Council of American States in China, who has helped Chinese companies expand to the U.S. for over 15 years. “For many Chinese companies, the U.S. is their single biggest market, which is almost impossible to replace.” An executive at a Chinese chemical company, who asked to be anonymous because of the “sensitive times”, said his company decided to move forward with its investment plan in the U.S. in the wake of the tariffs. “Wish we started the project even earlier, then we can be immune to the tariffs now,” he said. Foreign direct investment from China to the U.S. plunged by 84% in 2018, according to Rhodium Group. While M&A activity was hammered by tightening screening by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), greenfield foreign direct investment has experienced a pickup since the second half of 2018. Analysts at Rhodium noted “a noticeable increase in newly announced projects in response to trade barriers, especially in basic materials, automotive and consumer sectors.” Some Chinese companies believe investing in the U.S. is a gesture of goodwill, and could help them make a stronger case when they ask Washington for exemptions for imported materials that are already subject to tariffs. Last week, over 90 representatives from China attended SelectUSA, a conference hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce to attract foreign direct investment. China remains the top four destination of delegations, despite a slight decline from last year. To some companies, whether the economics make sense to build a factory in the U.S. depends on the level of tariffs that will be imposed on their Chinese-made products. Trade associations and companies plan to testify against the tariffs on $300 billion Chinese goods at public hearings hosted by the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office in Washington set to begin Monday. “I think companies are wait and see right now and many investors don't like uncertainty,” said Brian Connors, executive director at Michigan-China Innovation Center. “We have one company tell us actually, if the tariffs stay where they are, we will put a small sales office in America. If the tariffs go up to 25%, we will actually put manufacturing in America, because we need to jump over the tariff to localize.” Chinese companies that see the tariff war as a catalyst for investing in the U.S. have pretty much played into the hands of Washington, which has made it a priority to revitalize manufacturing and create job opportunities in the U.S. The administration even touts the trade freud as a selling point for “Made in the U.S.” “If you Invest in the USA, you don't need to worry about issues like tariffs or trade deals with the like,” Larry Kudlow, White House chief economic adviser, told prospective foreign investors at the SelectUSA conference last week. But a full-blown trade war still remains a top concern for Chinese companies, which worry that the economic impact on its home business and that their decision to move money from China to the U.S. at a time when the two countries are increasingly seeing each other as an adversary, could anger Beijing. “We've seen a number of projects go on hold. People are very cautious and tentative about proceeding with their greenfield investments in the state,” said Justin Kocher, senior manager of international business development at JobsOhio. “They want to see how the trade war plays out,” For more on this story click: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/some-chinese-businesses-are-investing-in-the-us-to-dodge-tariffs-120000288.html Subscribe to Yahoo Finance: https://yhoo.it/2fGu5Bb About Yahoo Finance: At Yahoo Finance, you get free stock quotes, up-to-date news, portfolio management resources, international market data, social interaction and mortgage rates that help you manage your financial life. Big Jobs, Heavy Equipment & Bad choices- my worst beginner mistakes & what I've learned from them

14:15
When I first started my business I made a lot of mistakes. Like Buying all NEW equipment. Trucks, excavators, backhoes, skid steers- Because I seen every body else doing it. Now-My priority is People. I realized it was the people that made my business thrive. Business's fail to invest in their people. They Don't succeed Because they buy new Equipment without A great team. A good team will deliver amazing results-even if your equipment is NOT brand new. I stopped buying new equipment & started investing in my people and it changed everything. People are the most important asset in your company. Your team builds your dream. But many people buy brand new equipment thinking thats the answer. I made a Bad choice early on- I bought all new equipment- financed myself to the brink. That was the wrong move. Then I paid off all the excavators(5 brand new ones), dump trucks(5), skid loaders(17) etc etc and started investing into acquiring an amazing team. I would never go back. Every year I have a decision-do I buy some new piece of heavy equipment-or give back to my team. you figure that one out....Don't let the idgets in youtube land steer you wrong. 5 Reasons to NOT Invest in the Amazon Delivery Franchise (DSP Business)

12:33
Amazon is offering a new franchise opportunity. For as little as $10,000 aspiring entrepreneurs can start their own delivery business for Amazon packages. The Amazon DSP, or Delivery Service Partner business looks great at first glance, but is it really as good as most people think? We'll look at that today on Franchise City. You have a very low investment starting at $10,000. You don't need any experience and Amazon, a company we all know and trust and one of the biggest in the world will help you get started. Amazon's own estimates suggest you'll be running a business with between 20 to 40 trucks, up to 100 employees, grossing between 1 million to 4.5 million and profiting up to $300,000 a year. They'll help you set up your business, help you build your team, you'll get big discounts on the vans and all the tech you need to get started, they'll give you 3 weeks of training and ongoing support leveraging their 20 years of technology and logistics experience. But what are the negatives? Well - let's start with the curious fact Amazon is specifically looking for people with no experience. Why is that? If you had a choice of hiring someone who had a ton of experience or someone who had no idea what the heck they are doing - who would you hire? I know who I would hire. So why is Amazon, this massive company focusing on people with no experience? Well one possible reason, purely speculation and only Amazon knows why, but its possible because people in the industry, who have experience, don't want to do it. People that understand what is actually involved, the margins, the risks, the expenses, and we'll cover those shortly, are just saying no. According to Peter Schlactus, he is the co-founder of the "Association for Delivery Drivers" and was recently interviewed by CBS news - that is very likely the case. Here is what he said: "The costs of working with Amazon are so substantial that independent delivery companies are increasingly turning away Amazon's business, The reason: Amazon requires that delivery companies hire their drivers as employees, rather than work with independent contractors. "The challenges of doing delivery work for Amazon have taken many dozens of delivery owners by surprise," Schlactus says. "My read is that Amazon is doing this to address a dwindling supply of independent delivery companies who are willing and able to work with them." And that big $300,000 a year in profit. Keep in mind that is the absolute best case scenario provided by Amazon themselves. This is the top end of what you can earn, and likely that number will be less. Amazon states you'll be operating 20-40 trucks so obviously you'll need those 40 trucks in this example to make the highest amount. So let's Divide $300,000 a year by 40 trucks - that is $7,500 profit per truck per YEAR. $7500 per route per year. Anyone in the logistics industry knows that it doesnt take many unexpected expenses to quickly take this route from positive revenue to losing money. When you look at the numbers from that perspective you realize how slim these margins really are. You have this big truck, very expensive to operate, you have fuel prices all over the map, employee minimum wages changing, lot's of variables and a razor thin profit potential of $7500 a year. That works out to about 28 dollars per working day in profit per truck. Any fluctuation in expenses could impact you in a big way. So reason Number two - very tight margins. (complete article at http://www.franchise.city) So is the Amazon franchise a good opportunity? That is up to you to decide. We like to give aspiring entrepreneurs both sides of the story so they can make an educated decision. don't forget to like and subscribe and hit that bell for updates. . https://logistics.amazon.com/ https://www.cbsnews.com/news/pros-and-cons-of-amazon-delivery-business-offer/ https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-delivery-drivers-reveal-claims-of-disturbing-work-conditions-2018-8 https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-controls-delivery-drivers-without-paying-wages-2018-9 http://www.scdigest.com/ontarget/18-07-16-1.php?cid=14451

Pinterest IPO: Is the Company Profitable?

03:07
Pinterest isn't your typical social media company. The company describes itself as a "visual discovery engine" — and there's hardly anything else like it on the web. Pinterest has more than 250 million monthly active users sharing images of home decor, fashion trends, articles, recipes and much more. And all of those users have created more than 175 billion pins. But how does all of that content make Pinterest make money? The bulk of the company's revenue comes from Pinterest's advertising sales on its platform. In 2018, Pinterest generated $756 million in sales, up 70% from 2017. The company says that more people use its service to find or shop for products than on social media networks, and that advertising is "native content" on its platform. Additionally, the majority of the Pins that are saved on Pinterest have actually been created by businesses. That's great news for advertisers, because Pinterest users are the primary decision makers when it comes to buying services and products for their household. 83% of all women ages 25 to 54 in the U.S. are Pinterest users, and the company calls them "deciders" because of they're the ones calling the shots for household expenses. But even as Pinterest's advertising revenue grows, the company is losing money. In 2018 Pinterest lost $63 million, which was a huge improvement from its loss of of $130 million in 2017. So if Pinterest brought in $756 million in sales, but still lost $63 million, where did all of that money go? Much of it went to expenses for sales and marketing, which totaled $260 million in 2018. Additionally, Pinterest spent about $252 million on research and development, and about $242 million for its cost of revenue expenses, which include web hosting and mobile app expenses, and employee salaries. When you add all of that up, along with additional general and administrative expenses, Pinterest spent more than $830 million in 2018. While Pinterest is still working toward turning a profit, the company has managed to increase its average revenue per user. In the U.S., Pinterest's most lucrative market, average revenue per user jumped 47% in 2018 to $9.04. But Pinterest has lots of opportunity to grow its international sales as well. The majority of its users are outside of the U.S. and the company's average revenue per international user increased 22% in 2018. The challenge for Pinterest will be to convince more advertisers to spend their money on its platform instead of on popular social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. But so far, Pinterest's sales and user growth has shown that this company can compete in the ultra-competitive digital advertising space. And with Pinterest's unique way of blending content with ads, the company may not be far off from turning its visual discover engine into a profitable business. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subscribe to The Motley Fool's YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/TheMotleyFool Or, follow our Google+ page: https://plus.google.com/+MotleyFool/posts Inside The Motley Fool: Check out our Culture Blog! http://culture.fool.com Join our Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/themotleyfool Follow The Motley Fool on Twitter: https://twitter.com/themotleyfool

The Future of Money: Banking on Fintech

28:42
Financial services and fintech startups are innovating across broad categories — in core banking, new financial services (both ones that banks traditional provided, but also ones they don’t), insurance, and investing. So what’s driving this change? And how do these startups successfully attack and compete with the big incumbent entities? What makes it possible — from new data sources that can provide more information on lending risk to being unencumbered by old legacy infrastructures? In this talk, recorded earlier this year in London, a16z general partner Alex Rampell considers all the types of innovation in financial services, and how the market is expanding. *** The views expressed here are those of the individual AH Capital Management, L.L.C. How Do I Contribute Money to My LLC? - All Up In Yo' Business

08:09
If you are starting a single-member LLC, or a multi-member LLC, there are two ways that you can give money to your LLC to use your own personal assets to capitalize your business: 1. As a member contribution. This is the easiest way to give money to your LLC. You just call any personal money or assets that you contribute to the LLC a “member contribution.” As opposed to a loan, where you have to document the loan and repay it to yourself according to its terms, you will basically earn back the contribution over time through distributions from your LLC. I made one mistake when I was starting my own single-member LLC that I want to warn you all about. What you should do whenever you are going to contribute your own money to the LLC is first deposit that money into your business bank account then make whatever purchases you need to out of that account. This all goes back to keeping that separation between you and your LLC which is so important to avoid the risks of the single-member LLC and piercing the corporate veil. I didn’t do that. Not really on purpose, but just because it didn’t occur to me to do that at the time. I had very few startup costs when I first started my business, so I was only contributing a little bit of money here and there. I didn’t have very much money to put into the business in the first place, so I didn’t want to open up a business bank account until I at least had my first client. I was just using my own money, out of my own personal accounts, to buy whatever I needed. If you’ve been doing it that way too, there’s no need to panic. If you ever get sued and someone tries to pierce the corporate veil, the fact that you paid for a few business expenses out of your personal account right when you were starting up probably isn’t going to be a major deciding factor. But it is probably a good idea to start doing it right sooner rather than later. In a multi-member LLC, members will make member contributions in exchange for their proportional membership interests. So let’s say, for example, Bill & Ted want to start a business and need $10,000 to do it. If they wanted to have 50/50 ownership of the business (which I wouldn’t recommend!), they would each make a $5,000 member contribution in exchange for a 50% membership interest. If Bill wanted to be the primary decision maker, on the other hand, he could contribute $6,000 for a 60% controlling membership interest and Ted could contribute $4,000 for a 40% membership interest. Since member contributions affect a member’s ownership, it is much more common in a multi-member LLC for a member to make a loan to the business (which wouldn’t affect the % ownership) than it is in a single-member LLC. 2. As a loan. As I mentioned above, member loans are much more common in multi-member LLCs than single-member LLCs. This is because a loan will allow a member to put more money into the LLC without affecting his or her proportional membership interest. Side note: if a member is going to make a loan to a multi-member LLC, it is very important that the Operating Agreement of the LLC specify the order of debt payoff if the LLC dissolves. Typically the Operating Agreement will state that any outstanding debts to members will be paid after debts to other creditors. Whether to call a contribution in a single-member LLC a member contribution or a loan is really a personal choice. But if you do decide to call it a loan, it is very very important that you actually treat it as a loan from you to your business. This means drafting and abiding by a promissory note setting for the terms of the loan, the interest rate, repayment terms, etc. You would have to sign that promissory note twice: personally as the lender, and in your capacity as the business owner and the borrower. You also cannot put higher priority on your own loan if the business has other debts. In a nutshell, if you want to make a loan to your single-member LLC, the most important thing is to remember that you personally are loaning money to a separate business entity. It is a real loan to a business, and it has to be treated as such. Contact Aiden and learn more at www.180lawco.com. Thumbs up & subscribe if you want more AUIYB! a2 Milk Stock Analysis + Valuation (NZX & ASX)

The a2 milk company has been one of the hottest and best performing stocks on the NZX and ASX for several years now and makes up a large percentage of the NZ 50 index. Having a background in agriculture, and an interest in investments on the NZX I dove into the company to see what it’s all about, and whether we can justify the hefty P/E multiple the shares currently trade at. Discover The 4 Emotions You Need To Make a Killer First Impression: https://bit.ly/2xFhSaZ Subscribe to Charisma On Command’s YouTube Account: http://bit.ly/COC-Subscribe Persuasion. When someone is persuaded, it's amazing how positive things turn out. Some psychology on how to persuade someone, empathy, and your personal development off of it will be talked about. You probably like to think of yourself as a rational human being like when you have a decision to make, you take all the information you make a pros and cons list and you add that up to make the best decision possible. But you're a human being and the truth of human beings is we are far more irrational than we'd like to admit. Oftentimes, our decisions come down to the smallest irrational things and oftentimes, that can be just a few words which is why in this video, I want to give you 6 phrases that you can use to turn the tide in your favor when you're trying to persuade someone to do something that you might like. Now, this is not going to be a substitute for really developing a true persuasive strategy, it's not a substitute for empathy but start adding these phrases into your vocabulary and I think you will be shocked with how quickly and how effective they are. So, the first one is when you're coming up against a gatekeeper and the phrase is simply going to be — "Have you ever made an exception?" Now, I used to use this all the time when I would try to get into bars and clubs after it was technically at capacity and it worked pretty well. 0:44 First persuasion phrase is to let them think it won't be a big deal 1:38 A person will more likely be persuaded if you bring empathy to the table 2:58 Make them see you in a positive light and work on your psychology prowess 4:19 Call them by their name 5:14 Another persuasion tactic is the use of the Yes Ladder 6:45 Use the power of "because" More on persuasion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMliNd2b2K0 Connect With Us Further: Website: http://www.charismaoncommand.com Facebook: http://facebook.com/charismaoncommand Instagram: @CharismaOnCommand Or if you want to see our personal stuff (regular life + playing music): Instagram: @CharlieHoupert Instagram: @IamBenAltman

Social Proof, Data AI, Online Dating and Defense Innovation — Austin Road Trip Part 2

09:52
We crash Social Media Week and meet Y Combinator startup Proof, explore data-driven artificial intelligence with Likely.AI, learn about a different kind of dating app called The Round, and attend the Center for Defense Innovation's Grand Opening. Episode 20 — Chris, a self-proclaimed sneaker head, kicks off the second day of the team’s Austin road trip by dragging Jordan and Dave along to Private Stock and Dirty Laundry USA, two of Austin’s best-known street wear shops. Later that evening the team crashes the city’s Social Media Week happy hour event. While networking at the party they are introduced to Austin Distel, co-founder of the Y Combinator start-up Proof that enables websites to show visitors how many people are currently viewing a product. After a long day of start-up meetings going on little more than coffee and beer, the Dumb Money team makes the questionable decision to trek out deep into rural Austin to the legendary Salt Lick BBQ. Over dinner they recollect on the day’s most interesting meetings including Likely.ai, a company founded by Brad McDaniel that leverages artificial intelligence to help banks and mortgage companies identify likely home sellers. Another favorite is Aether, an immersive media technology company founded by Nikola Todorovic and actor Tye Sheridan, best known for his leading role in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One. Lastly the team meets with Zachery Casler of The Round, a unique dating app that locks its matched users into real dates at predetermined times and locations. Before calling wraps on a successful trip they celebrate the grand opening of the impressive Army Futures Command innovation center with at Capital Factory. https://www.instagram.com/privatestockatx/ https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/149372822600994/dirty-laundry-usa https://smwatx.com/ https://useproof.com/ http://likely.ai/ http://www.aetherinc.co/ https://www.jointheround.com/ https://www.capitalfactory.com/event/defense-innovation-center-grand-opening/ https://saltlickbbq.com/ https://armyfuturescommand.com — SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/dumbmoney?sub_confirmation=1 Please consider subscribing to our YouTube channel.
