How to Quickly Learn English Grammar as a Teacher Abroad or Use This Resource in ESL Classes

06:19
A lot of new and seasoned English teachers abroad get freaked out about grammar. This is not a problem faced by just newbies, but a lot of experienced ESL teachers too. No one wants to be in front of a class of 30 people and not know the answer to an English grammar question. The good news is that there are many great resources available to help you brush up on, learn, or relearn English grammar fast so you can rock your ESL classes and answer your students' questions with ease. One of my personal favorites is Khan Academy. It is also a fantastic resource to use in the classroom if you have the appropriate equipment available. English language lessons and activities can be turned into games or competitions and the only real limit is your imagination. *********** 🥇COACHING/MANUAL/RESUME SERVICE ▶︎http://www.benteachesenglishoverseas.com 📕 FREE BOOKLET "The Big 6" ▶︎http://www.benteachesenglishoverseas.com/blog 📰 BLOG: http://www.benteachesenglishoverseas.com/blog 🎥 YOUR PERSONALIZED SKYPE CONSULTATION http://www.rockstarESLteacher.com 🔻 FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA🔻 🔵 FACEBOOK | http://facbook.com/benteachesenglishoverseas ✅ INSTAGRAM | http://instagram.com/benteachesenglishoverseas 💙 TWITTER | http://twitter.com/benteachesESL

How to Teach English (ESL) w/ Games & Activities

02:59
Learn how to teach English using games and activities. 1. 00:12 "Categramble" is an icebreaker and warm-up activity. 2. 01:24 "Whispers" is an activity for teaching sentences. 3. 02:06 "One Hand, Two Hands" is an activity for teaching listening. You can use games and activities throughout much of your lesson "if" you do it properly. Remember you need balance in your lesson. How do you feel about your teaching? Are you confident? INSTEAD of feeling unsure, helpless or maybe even like a fraud of a teacher - imagine feeling confident, secure and satisfied. http://www.course.eslinsider.com/ _____________________________________________________ ESLinsider serves up fresh resources for ESL teachers: how-to videos, interviews with teachers, online TEFL courses, ebooks and a blog. Don't be a snob with the language resources you use

07:20
It doesn't matter whether your ultimate goal is Castilian Spanish, Mexican Spanish, London Cockney English, Brazilian Portuguese or European Portuguese. When you are first learning a language, read reviews on the best resources you can find in the language (books, podcasts, audio cds, etc) and get those resources. Don't worry about dialectal differences or things like that at an early stage. Yes, the differences between Brazillian and European Portuguese are much more pronounced than those between Latin American and Peninsular Spanish. However, I think that at an early stage in the language it is more important to focus on learning the grammar and how to communicate, rather than strictly adhering to resources from one region or another. That isn't to say that you should blindly mix tu and você or European expressoins with Brazilian expressions, just that you should focus more on learning the different verb forms than on the nitty-gritty details that you will undoubtedly learn as you deepen your knowledge of one variety over another. I hope this advice is useful. Instead of strictly adhering to resources from a given dialect or variety that you wish to learn, I think that you should keep an open mind and simply use the *best* resources in a given language. I need to improve my European Portuguese but I'm having trouble finding the resources I need. So, I am going to buy a great Brazilian Portuguese grammar workbook and start going through it. I will take note of areas of difference between European and Brazilian Portuguese to the best of my ability, and in the future I will eliminate those areas of dialectal inconsistency. For now, however, I need to focus on the best resources I can find to learn the language - whatever they may be. One last thing (this is kind of off-topic). Here are two links to webpages that have helped me a lot in learning Portuguese. These webpages are basically just information centers that direct you to other pages/resources. http://hackingportuguese.com/tips-and-tricks/practicing-listening-comprehension/ http://portuguesembadajoz.wordpress.com/ The second link is a Spanish website. I look forward to hearing your feedback. Daniel

The advanced course goes into detail especially in regards to classroom management which is often a challenge when you teach kids. It also offers feedback, support and interaction with a real human which is not common in many of the cheaper courses. About the video: These are 5 fun steps to teaching kids English. In this video you'll see a method for teaching kids English using the "PPP" (Presentation, Practice and Production) style of lesson planning. You will learn how to teach English to children and much of this method can also be applied to teaching other levels too. Such as adults. But the "PPP" style is best for low level learners. Also in this video you will learn some fun games and activities that you can add to your lesson. These will make your lessons more fun and more effective if used correctly. This video was filmed in Busan, South Korea. This was a kindergarten class. I suspect the students here were about 5 years old or so. Supporting English Language Learners in the Preschool Classroom

07:25
Although many preschool classrooms now include children whose first language is not English, teachers may find it challenging to effectively support young children with limited English skills. In e-clip #8, Dr. Ann Anderberg stresses the importance of continuing to support first language development in children, and gives suggestions for assisting these young learners in their acquisition of English. When teachers and parents engage in practices that support oral language development, children can develop strong language skills in both their first and second languages.
