$185 Million for Our Oceans: A New Partnership between OceanX and Bloomberg Philanthropies

03:03
UN Special Envoy for Climate Action Michael R. Bloomberg and OceanX founder Ray Dalio are two of the largest supporters of ocean protection and exploration in the world. Now, Bloomberg Philanthropies and Dalio’s OceanX will help provide a critical platform to increase the world’s collective understanding of our oceans, driving towards the shared goal of protecting them. At a time when the oceans require our critical attention, this new partnership commits 185 million dollars over the next four years to projects for ocean exploration and scientific discovery, awareness and education, issue advocacy, policy development, and conservation. The announcement is marked by the completion of the partnership’s first combined project, an expedition to the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument on OceanX’s marine research and exploration vessel the Alucia. This mission gave scientists the chance to dive down in submersibles into parts of the Monument previously unvisited by humans, making discoveries that were new to science, and recording these unique environments on camera. The images and data collected will demonstrate the importance of this particular monument, as well as marine conservation across the globe. Stay tuned for more from this mission, as well as future missives from the most under-explored part of our planet: our ocean. #ourocean #conservation #oceanx

The Finnish collision

The Finnish crypto exchange Prasos has developed the methods of customer identification that comply with anti-money laundering laws. Since 2012, Prasos has increased the volume of transactions tens of times, which reached 185 million dollars in 2017. The growth of the indicators of Prasos has aggravated the competition with local banks. According to the executive director of Prasos Henry Brade, representatives of these banks do not have “a system of rules for working with crypto-currencies.” The authorities of Finland do not currently intervene in the activities of crypto exchanges. Recall, in late February it was reported that the European Commission will consider the introduction of cryptocurrency regulation at the EU level. Hit and Run - Motor Torpedo Boats in World War 1 I THE GREAT WAR Special

08:36
The Naval arms race of the early 20th century certainly meant that battleships got ever bigger and more powerful. But there is a David to every Goliath and so Motor Torpedo Boats were developed and used for "hit and run" style operations by both the British and the Italian Navy. Sabotage In The Desert - Battle of Broodseinde I THE GREAT WAR Week 167

09:45
While the regular British forces were advancing towards Jerusalem and Baghdad, T.E. Lawrence and the Arab Revolt were causing havoc behind the lines. This week 100 years ago, they were continuing to attack the important Hejaz railway which was one of the vital supply routes for the Ottoman Army. On October 4, the Battle of Broodseinde was fought near Ypres and the costly British victory there caused real headaches for German general Erich Ludendorff. » HOW CAN I SUPPORT YOUR CHANNEL? Devrim Arabaları (2008 - HD) | Türk Filmi

02:00:34

#3Blokes In A Pub... Talk THE BEST Brexit (Ep 2)

01:08:49
Like our podcast? Buy us a pint! https://www.gofundme.com/buy-a-round-for-the-3blokes Brexit Britain is fed up with experts. These days we only listen to the bloke down the pub. So in this controlled experiment, we put two blokes and a teddy bear in a pub and recorded the results for your viewing pleasure. Graham Hughes once won an island in a game show. (And that's the second coolest thing he's ever done.) He lived there off-grid for a few years, so when we leave the EU without a deal he'll probably survive for a few more weeks than the rest of us. Jason Hunter once represented the Hong Kong government in a massive trade dispute. Weirdly, he's not looking forward to the tsunami of trade disputes coming our way as a result on us reneging on every trade deal we've signed over the last 40 years. In this episode, we talk about the "best" Brexit that cold, hard reality makes possible. Naughty reality! Grr....! *** This podcast was brought to you by MAN OF THE WORLD by Graham Hughes, which is available in paperback, ebook and (yes!) audiobook versions here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Man-World-Book-Odyssey-Expedition/dp/B07FQTF1JC ***

TRIP through the 6,600 metres: „Westerschelde-Tunnel“ (NL) – EU-GAMBLING is SUCKING us

14:22
Deutscher Titel: "FAHRT mit einem INTEGRA Wohnmobil durch den 6.600 Meter langen „Westerschelde-Tunnel“ (NL) – EU BETTELEI geht gehörig auf den NERV" This is an older Video with the background music of the TECHNO-Hype "WHITE SENSATION". I hope the music is suitable for this shown trip in the video.... The shown video is a holiday TRIP of Summer 2014 with an INTEGRA EURA-MOBILE (Camper) in southern direction to the „Westerschelde-Tunnel“ on the Netherlands side of the „Belgium-Netherlands motorway/Interstate (N57)“. This is „North Sea“ HIGHWAY. I hope I could find a suitable background-music to this video. At minute 11 of the video, I tried to show the fascination of building such a monumental tunnel with an exciting music at the end. It was fantastic, but also diabolic and scary..... The Westerschelde Tunnel is the longest traffic tunnel in the Netherlands. Length: 6.6 kilometres, Maximum speed: 100 km/h, Deepest point below the Amsterdam Ordnance Datum (NAP): 60 metres, The two tunnel tubes each have a diameter of 11 metres, Each tunnel tube accommodates two 3.5 metre lanes, Designed for cars, motorcycles and truck traffic, A vehicle’s height may not exceed 4 metres, The incline at both entrance and exit ramps is 4.5%, Time to reach the other side is five minutes, The tunnel is located below the Westerschelde between Borssele (Zuid-Beveland) and Terneuzen (Zeeuws-Vlaanderen), It provides an optimal connection between Zeeland, Flanders and West Brabant, To the north, the tunnel road connects to the A58 motorway and to the south to the N61, Agricultural traffic is permitted to use the tunnel under certain conditions, Monitored 24 hours per day by the tunnel’s operator, Two tubes with 26 communicating passages; one every 250 metres, An emergency station every 50 metres; 135 in total, 52 cameras, 40 fans, 135 emergency stop signs, 550 lighting points, 468 detection loops embedded in the asphalt and 185 loudspeakers for the public address system, In the European Union barriers to national markets and national monopolies are gone. This concerns not only cassis and wine, but also complex an incorporeal products and services you cannot touch, but you have to trust. Financial products and services (which might Pose serious financial dangers to customers) can now easily be offered inall Member States with a 'European passport' (thereby expressly confirming thecountry of origin principle). Consumer protection is dealt with by strict and very detailed regulation. If you look at the Financial Services Action Plan (FSAP) of the European Commision, the completion of an integrated internal market for financial products and services seems to becoming closer. Financial products are increasingly offered in cross-order situations. Even old-established monopolies, like state monopolies for postal services and telecommunication, are by-gone or bound to vanish thanks to the European Union. Yetis it really the case that all barriers to cross-border services and all national monopolies are really gone? Unfortunately not. A turnover of several billion Euros inlotteries, sports betting and all other kinds of gambling (among them gaming machines, scratch cards and poker) - indeed a very large and steadily growing business segment-remain in the hands of such state monopolies. Most of the European lottery andsports betting market is dominated by monopolies that realise a yearly turnover of more than Euro 50 billion. Only a few Member States allow private operators to offer sports betting, the United Kingdom being the one with the longest tradition (and with several publicly listed companies). ~Project infopowerment Truthers Alliance~ Creating New kind of Unity against Tyranny Network of independent Thinkers Rebels dissidents activists artists writers researchers rappers web-masters talkshow-hosts video-editors protesters conference-organizers lecturers musicians deejays all eXposing & dismantling NWO Mafia Tyranny in their own unique way ~founder EXOMATRlXTV Appreciating DIFFERENT angles & tactics Being different is not a "crime" staying in your own integrity being appreciated for your talents. EQUIPMENT Aerodynamic sill mouldings, body coloured bumpers, red bumper inserts, NACA bonnet air ducts, body coloured front spoiler and rear aerofoil, body coloured door mirror housing, black finish to B-pillars and rear panel, alloy road wheels, halogen headlamps, high pressure headlamp washers, integral driving lamps, body coloured sunroof, anti-lock brakes, power steering, electric aerial, sports front seats, driver's seat height adjustment, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), seven-function check control panel, tinted rear view mirror, electric windows, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors. The vehicle has never received any replacement panels or welding work, and there is no rust on the car whatsoever. The paintwork is in flawless condition aside from a very small area to the lower front offside wing where the paint has rubbed thin. This can be considered the only extreme minor imperfection that can easily be rectified, but has been left unaltered in order to preserve the cars true originality. All bumpers, factory fit glass and lights are in perfect condition, as are the correct GTE 16V decals and badges. There is a light scratch to the nearside door mirror and a small touched in scratch to the offside door mirror. Upon raising the bonnet you are greeted with a truly exceptional engine bay, being standard and correct in every manner with all manufacturer stickers present. INTERIOR Trimmed in Rainbow and Anthracite arrangement with matching door cards, the correct specification for Glacier White GTE's. The seats and door cards are completely free from wear and deterioration, commensurate with the remarkably low mileage covered. The colour keyed velour carpet is beautiful clean, full and taut. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 150PS C20XE engine with double overhead camshafts is one element that certainly set the Astra GTE 16v well ahead of its competitors. The engine was originally released in Europe where it developed 156PS (153.9 bhp), but when the GTE 16v arrived in the UK it was subject to stricter emissions regulations whereby a mandatory new exhaust manifold robbed the engine of 6PS, and gave a true output of 148 bhp and maximum torque output of 144.6 lb.ft. Top speed of 135mph is reached whilst 0-62 is dealt with in a mere 8.0 seconds. The 5 speed manual gearbox with final drive ratio of 3:42:1 feels positively tight and offer excellent progression up the range. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The white alloy road wheels fitted as standard to all Glacier White GTE 16v cars are in immaculate condition having suffered no damage or age related wear. The braking system incorporates 10.1in ventilated front discs and 10.2in rear discs and features electronic anti-lock brake assist (ABS) to install the utmost confidence for enthusiastic use, allowing the car to be enjoyed just as Vauxhall intended. HISTORY FILE This superb one owner vehicle was registered new on 8th March 1990 by company director Mr J English and promptly transferred into his private name after just three months of ownership, where it has remained ever since. All handbooks, service record, radio guides and Vauxhall supplements are present in the original grey plastic wallet. House votes to reduce regulatory costs by 15 percent

02:02
Trump Breaking News Network -House votes to reduce regulatory costs by 15 percent. The House brought Republicans one step closer to significantly rolling back federal regulations on Wednesday, when it passed the Searching for and Cutting Regulations that are Unnecessarily Burdensome (SCRUB) Act by a vote of 240-185. The bill aims to reduce the cost of all federal regulations by 15 percent. It would establish a Retrospective Regulatory Review Commission charged with scouring the federal code for costly "major" rules. Commissioners would identify rules that have been in place for at least 15 years that they believe could be enforced more efficiently without loss of effectiveness. They would then recommend repealing those rules. Congress would have final say, as a joint resolution would be required before any rule is actually repealed. The commission would disband after five years. "We finally have a president in the White House who will put an end to the 'Washington knows best' mentality that has polluted our nation's capital for the past eight years," declared the bill's sponsor, Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo. "Our efforts in the SCRUB Act are to simply codify and make easier the process President Trump has already started." Smith maintains that compliance with all federal rules has cost businesses and others affected by them $2 trillion. "I am hopeful that Senate Minority Leader [Chuck] Schumer will allow Senate Democrats to vote their conscience and give the American people a say in the regulatory process," he said in noting the bill passed the House with some Democratic help. The outsiders: A Trump Doctrine -- 'America Workers First'

08:08
There are only two presidential candidates in the history of American politics who won the presidency. Subscribe ✔ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIdKjWk5gp0N0Mu_4aljp1g/videos A against the wishes of the establishment: Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump. Trump has pledged that his first 100 days in office will be dedicated to restoring “honesty, accountability and change to Washington.” (RELATED: Trump’s Seven Point Plan To ‘Drain The Swamp’) His plan consists of seven points and several legislative initiatives centered on limiting the power of the federal government empowering the American working class. A Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress 1. A hiring freeze on all federal employees to reduce federal workforce through attrition (exempting military, public safety, and public health) 2. A requirement that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated 3. A five year ban on White House and Congressional officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government service 4. A lifetime ban on the White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government 5. A complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections 6. Cancel billions in payments to U.N. climate change programs and use the money to fix America’s water and environmental infrastructure Trump also named several legislative measures which he will work with Congress to pass within his first 100 days in office. Ronald Reagan defied the power brokers, big bankers and the media to win two landslide elections, but he was forced by the establishment to take on George H.W. Bush as his vice president. Donald Trump not only chose his own vice president, but he won the presidency despite attempts by the elite in his own party to sabotage him. As president, Trump will have more leeway to accomplish his agenda because he in no way owes the establishment of either party. Trump must resist the establishment snakes attempting at this moment to slither into his administration. We can’t forget what they did to hurt President-elect Trump during this election. Julian Assange predicted days before the election that Donald Trump would not be allowed to win the presidency because the entirety of the American establishment and global elite were against him. He even pointed to an email he published at WikiLeaks that showed the Clinton Foundation and ISIS were funded by the same money, and that the establishment would do anything to keep the money flowing. Assange listed off the institutions opposing Trump, “Banks, intelligence, arms companies, foreign money, etc. are all united behind Hillary Clinton. And the media as well. Media owners, and the journalists themselves.” Thankfully, Julian Assange and all the “experts” were wrong about Trump’s impending loss. They were all wrong about Reagan, too. Donald Trump had large coattails for down-ballot candidates, as did Reagan. In the 1980 elections, when Reagan defeated Carter in an upset, the Senate was handed to Republicans for the first time since the ’50s. Former KKK leader Sen. Robert Byrd was the Democrat Senate majority leader until Reagan swept Republicans into power in that chamber. The GOP ended up with 53 Senate seats that year. Back to present time: Trump and his coattails were able to hold the Senate although the “experts” predicted the GOP would lose several seats and the majority in the chamber. The Donald Trump Senate will end up with a 52-seat majority for the GOP after the Louisiana Senate runoff. In the House of Representatives, Reagan never held a majority, but in that chamber, Trump will enjoy a large majority in his first two years of 239-192. Donald Trump will have a much easier time implementing his policies than Reagan, who was relatively successful despite never having a majority in the House. The hard work isn’t over now that Trump has won. The left will do anything to derail his presidency, and it has already started. The left corrupt DNC Steal Votes in 11 States against Bernie, They pay Professional Protesters in Trump rally’s as they continue paying those street protester they still attempting to smear Trump and his supporters as racists. I believe is they are Intolerance ------------------------------------------ George Soros and his fellow liberal mega-donors are currently readying the post-Hillary Clinton Democratic Party to oppose President-Elect Donald Trump. According to Politico, Soros and other key members of the so-called “Democracy Alliance” met in Washington, DC at the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Sunday for how to change the democratic election and DNC. And About President Trump. http://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000158-5f62-d185-ad7d-5ffb02a40002

Google Critic Fired By Google-Funded Think Tank

01:23
According to a report by the New York Times, an influential think tank called The New America Foundation bowed to pressure from Alphabet’s executive chairman, Eric Schmidt, and dismissed one of its scholars, Barry Lynn, following a critical statement of Google’s monopolistic practices. Lynn - who served as the director of the Open Markets Program at the foundation - is now claiming that foundation director Anne-Marie Slaughter let him go after fears that Google would cut off the millions in funding it regularly supplies, should the criticism continue. In June, Lynn published a statement praising the decision by the European Commission to fine Google a record-setting €2.42 billion for antitrust violations, and called on the US government to protect the free flow of information which he said was threatened by Google and “other dominant platform monopolists including Amazon.” Shortly thereafter, Schmidt contacted Slaughter to communicate “displeasure with the statement.” Within hours, the corporation threatened to cut off all funding. Days later, Lynn was asked to stop by Slaughter’s office and was informed that his Open Markets Program would no longer be part of the group. Lynn has now converted the Open Markets Program into a new organization called Citizens Against Monopoly, and claims that Google is “trying to censor journalists and researchers who fight dangerous monopolies.” http://gizmodo.com/google-funded-think-tank-fires-google-critic-1798627458 http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Business using http://wochit.com

IGF 2012 Workshop 154 "What frameworks for cross-border online communties and Services?"

01:30:20
Panelists: • Chinmayi Arun, National Law University India and Fellow at CIS India • Brian Cute, CEO at PIR (.org) • Lee Hibbard, Media and Information Society Division at Council of Europe • Konstantinos Komaitis, Policy Advisor at Internet Society • Michael Niebel, Internet Policy Development at European Commission • Patrick Ryan, Policy Councel Open Internet at Google Moderator: Bertrand de La Chapelle, Director of the Internet & Jurisdiction Project Remote Moderator: Paul Fehlinger, Manager of the Internet & Jurisdiction Project More information at www.internetjurisdiction.net Video by the Internet Governance Forum Tension is growing between the cross-border Internet and a traditional legal and regulatory framework that bases jurisdiction on the physical boundaries of national territories. Conflicts of jurisdiction regarding personal data, freedom of expression, consumer protection, intellectual property and security are proliferating around the world, leading to broad legal uncertainty for all actors. In the absence of standards or common operational procedures for the governance of cross-border online spaces and attribution of jurisdiction, the growing patchwork of uncoordinated national regulations could threaten the universality of the Internet as a global network. The workshop aims at raising the awareness and understanding of this problem. The open dialogue will explore how this common concern of governments, private companies and civil society actors can be addressed collaboratively, in order to identify possible future frameworks and procedures. Moreover, the next steps of the Internet & Jurisdiction Project and the involvement of IGF participants therein will be discussed.
Investing In Art Funds It Should Be A Regulated Affair

What is an Art Fund? Investing in luxury collectible assets such as art, vintage auto and coins can help diversify anyone's retirement investment portfolio and help reduce the associated risk of inflationary monetary policy serving as a hedge against inflation. Most recently stocks and bonds have been volatile and over the last 10 years, have generated lower returns than the art index. Having no correlation with the stock market over the last 10 years, the art and collectible market have benefited from significant price appreciation. Since 2005, art has proven a safer investment than that of the stock market. What is an Art Fund? Art funds are privately offered investment funds that generate returns through acquisition and disposition of art pieces. Similar to a mutual fund, in an art fund, a buy and hold strategy varies in size, duration, compensation and investment focus. Some funds also come with restrictions and stipulations incorporated into their design. In the United States art funds usually fall within the Investment Company Act of 1940 and act as a mutual fund to investors. A very niche product, those art funds which have fewer than 500 investors are not subject to regulation. Distinguishing a fraud from an authentic? Art funds are regulated in the USA by compliance with the ERISA and other art fraud regulatory agencies but funds benefit from this lack of transparency in the form of arbitrage. To some art funds, this concept of arbitrage is simply "bad news". They are usually categorized as un-regulated and non-transparent but some funds do offer full disclosure and transparency to reduce risk to the investor. The Anthea Contemporary Art Investment Fund SICAV FIS is a Luxembourg fund, regulated and based in Swtizerland. Anthea Art fund is not registered with the SEC yet is classified as a Luxembourg regulated investment fund according to the Luxembourg law of 13 February 2007 relating to Specialised Investment Funds (SIF) and is distributed all over Europe. Being regulated in Luxembourg means to operate under the supervision and monitoring of its regulatory authority the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) which provides investors with a clear and reliable operating framework for the management of their investments. The General Affairs Council were given an update by the Commission regarding the situation with regard to rule of law in Poland. Since the Law and Justice party (PiS) took power, the Polish government has repeatedly undermined the country’s Constitutional Tribunal, is clamping down on the independence of the media, the freedom to associate and the independence of NGOs. Last week at the UN OHCR - Nations Human Rights Council’s 185 recommendations were made to Poland. France, Germany, and Sweden, spoke strongly on the damage done to Poland’s constitutional court in particular.

IMF chief sounds warning on food prices

01:55
SHOTLIST 1. Finance ministers walk into news conference (++MUTE++) 2. Cutaway of media 3. SOUNDBITE: (English) Dominique Strauss-Kahn, International Monetary Fund Managing Director: "Some of the ministers were very eloquent on the need to be concerned more than we were before, not only on the question of inflation as an economic problem, but, I say it as a matter of conclusion of this meeting, of the question of inflation, because it may be the root of a lot of conflict in the future. If food prices go on as they are today, then the consequences on the population in a large set of countries, including Africa, but not only Africa, will be terrific." 4. Cutaway of media 5. SOUNDBITE (English) Dominique Strauss-Kahn, International Monetary Fund Managing Director: "Hundreds of thousands of people will be starving. Children will suffer from bad nutrition with consequences all of their lives and moreover, the consequences will be such that disruption may occur in the economic environment." 6. Cutaway of media 7. SOUNDBITE (English) Dominique Strauss-Kahn, International Monetary Fund Managing Director: "So it is not only a question, a humanitarian question, it's not only an economic question, it's also a democracy question and as we know, learning from the past, those kind of questions sometimes end into war." 8. Strauss-Kahn walks off stage STORYLINE: The head of the International Monetary Fund warned on Saturday that if food prices remained high, there would be dire consequences for people in many developing countries and especially in Africa. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the IMF's Managing Director, said the problem could also create trade imbalances that would affect major advanced economies. With governments in Haiti, Egypt and the Philippines already facing social unrest because of rising food prices and shortages, Strauss-Kahn said that if the price spike continued, hundreds of thousands of people might starve. "Children will be suffering from malnutrition, with consequences for all their lives," he said. Strauss-Kahn spoke after a day-long meeting of the steering committee of the 185-nation IMF, which dealt with the unfolding global financial crisis that has affected economies around the world. Earlier on Saturday, Germany's development minister, who is attending the World Bank's meeting on Sunday, called for greater regulation of the global biofuels market to prevent its expansion from driving up food prices. She said the world needed new rules that balanced goals, including climate change mitigation, food security and social development. The development group Oxfam, a frequent IMF critic, said rich countries were largely responsible for the food crisis because they have been cutting aid to developing countries and encouraging biofuel production, which the IMF says is responsible for almost half the increase in the demand for food crops. An Oxfam policy adviser said demand for biofuel by rich countries was driving up food prices and was a big part of the problem and by cutting aid levels, they were doing "precious little" to be a part of the solution. Online Privacy: Industry Self-Regulation in Practice

57:55
Google Tech Talk September 17, 2009 ABSTRACT Aleecia M. McDonald will speak about industry self-regulation for online privacy. After a brief overview of how we got here, we will explore the status quo through two studies. First, what is the user burden if people read online privacy policies? How long would it take to do so, and what is the economic value of that time? Second, how well can users understand privacy policies? We evaluated six privacy policies in three different presentation formats and found standardized formats do not help users as much as their proponents might like. Finally, we conclude with an overview of public policy options for online privacy. Bring your ideas, we could have a lively discussion. Aleecia M. McDonald is a PhD candidate in Engineering & Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University, where she is a member of the Cylab Usable Privacy and Security (CUPS) research laboratory. Her interests span the intersection of Internet technology, policy, economics, and law. Ms. McDonald's research includes the efficacy of industry self regulation, behavioral economics and mental models of privacy, network traffic analysis to combat spyware, automotive privacy, and RFID technology. In addition to a decade of experience working for software startups, Ms. McDonald holds an MS in Public Policy and Management, and a BA in Professional Writing, both from Carnegie Mellon. Her findings have been featured in media outlets such as the Washington Post, Ars Technica, Free Press' Media Minute, and have contributed to testimony before the Federal Trade Commission.
