This is what we're trying to achieve (with our Needs Analysis). What will solve the problems or opportunity that this business has. Sometimes a Needs Analysis will tell you that all you need to build is "awareness" (not training). Realize this is an essential part of your learning design process. Because it makes it very clear about what will have the most effective result, and be the best way to solve your clients money. We want to begin with our Needs Analysis with "impact". Because that's when you actually examine what your boss or sponsor really wants to achieve. And sometimes there is such a huge disconnect between what they are trying to achieve and what you can realistically achieve with a training intervention; that you you realize (that a lot of times) it's all those support pieces like, The 5 Moments of Need that Bob Mosher and Conrad Gottfredson talk about. A proper Needs Analysis will tell you there is all these layers to effective design. -- Anna Sabramowicz is an award winning instructional designer, elearning strategist, and speaker. An effective training program needs a high-quality program design to maximize trainee learning and transfer of training. Program design refers to the organization and coordination of the training program. It is important to take a broad perspective when designing training, regardless of whether it is an online or a face-to-face training program, class, or course.

Check out our new course here - https://courses.skill-lync.com/course/masters-in-hybrid-electric-car-vehicle-design-and-simulation We, at Skill-Lync are very excited to bring to you, our new Master’s Course on Hybrid Electric Vehicle Design & Analysis. The extremely fast adoption of Electric Vehicles by top automotive companies around the world has brought in a definite need to understand how electric vehicles are designed & manufactured. While this has increased the number of job opportunities, there are not enough engineers with the relevant skills, and this has created a significant knowledge gap in this industry. The jobs of the future are not going to be the same as the jobs of the present. The engineers of the future need to understand different aspects of passenger vehicle design & analysis both with respect to IC Engines as well as Electric Powered Vehicles. As a part of our Master Course in Hybrid Electric Vehicles at Skill-Lync, you will be equipped to work with both. More importantly, this is India’s first JOB GUARANTEED or Full Money Refund program on Hybrid Electric Vehicles. All you need to do is finish this coursework to get a full-time job. If you finish the coursework within 8 month’s time and if we are not to get you a job in the same timeframe, we will return your money back. We strongly believe that we should win only when you win! And to make sure you win, we’ve partnered with multiple manufacturing companies who are ready to hire students who graduate from this program. This program is an 8 month long full-fledged coursework, split into 2 semesters. The 1st semester starts this April 15th & the second semester starts on Aug 15th The 1st week of each semester will be an intensive onsite training at Hilton, chennai for 6 consecutive days. This onsite program is intended to be one of the highest learning curves of your career and within these 6 days, you will learn much more than what you can in one whole semester of your undergraduate education. During this program you will have hands on training on industry relevant software such as ANSA, LS-Dyna, ANSYS, Converge, Star CCM, Hyperworks, SolidWorks & much more. You will also get the required fundamental training on CFD, FEA, Automation & Electric Systems. The goal of the first semester is to provide you with an overview of the essential concepts involved in developing a good understanding of Electric & IC Engine powertrain, Body in white design, Passenger car aerodynamics. To do this effectively, these are the topics that will be covered: • Introduction to Electric Powertrain Calibration using Matlab & Simulink • Electric Powertrain architecture • Battery Design & Modeling • Basics of Power Electronics & Controls • Electric Motor Architecture & Performance • Introduction to ICE Powertrain, Analysis & Calibration using Matlab & Simulink • Advanced Aerodynamics simulations using Star CCM+ • Automotive Body in Design In the 2nd semester we will cover • Vehicle Dynamics using MSC Adams & Matlab • Automotive Strength & Fatigue calculations – Developing a crash safety vehicle using LS Dyna, Hyperworks & Radioss • Automotive CFD for Pumps, Turbochargers, & Filtration units. • Manufacturing Simulations using MoldFlow. This program is a result of the research done by our team along with industry experts to understand what is exactly required from an engineer in this field and how to best train you for it. The most important aspect of this program is our focus on providing you with the theoretical fundamentals required of an hybrid electric vehicles engineer and on providing you with training in the critical industry relevant software. As we have a limit on the number of students we can take per batch, if you are interested in this course, do apply. We will shortlist students for an interview and those students who are selected during the interview process can enroll! We hope you found this video on our upcoming course, informative and look forward to seeing you in class!

The course syllabus is an essential component of your course and should be thorough, precise, and clear. Since the syllabus is often one of the first means of communication between you and your students, it should set the tone for the entire semester. The ultimate goal of a well-designed syllabus, therefore, is to inform students about what is expected of them throughout the semester by outlining content, policies, and due dates. In essence, the syllabus acts as a road map to help students navigate the course. In this workshop, we will discuss key elements of a course syllabus, possibilities for design layout, and provide a checklist to help you create a well-organized and complete course syllabus.

This short lecture by Dr. Hetty Roessingh of the University of Calgary explores a balanced approach to designing ESL curricula that borrows from the areas of critical theory, cognitivism, and behaviourism. At one of the spectrum, the curriculum approach focuses on the journey, while the other focuses on the destination. A balanced approach favours both, tilting one way or the other depending on the situated context of the learners. Knowing the purposes for which students are learning a language will shape the approach. The lecture closes by rising above any of the three approaches to promote the idea of principled eclecticism, which takes from all approaches in order to meet the needs of the learners.

English for Speakers of Other Languages originally from Belgium, has extensive experience in workplace ESOL with immigrants in the Boston area. He has taught immigrants, worked in staff development, written proposals, and directed workplace literacy programs. He has managed workplace education grants and, since 1993, has supervised adult basic education development efforts for the Massachusetts Department of Education. In this chapter he gives us “a tale of two courses.” He designed and taught a course for Chinese health-care workers in Boston using the competency-based methods in widespread use at that time. He spent over ninety hours doing an exhaustive needs analysis that involved not only the students but also nursing staff, supervisors, patients, and administrators. He decided, how-ever, that even though the course did what it was designed to do, it had failed his students. In this chapter, he tells us why he felt this to be the case and how he radically redirected the course as a result. The course development focus for this chapter is needs assessment. Consider the following questions as you read: In this account of course development, who determined what the students' needs were? How were those needs defined? Uvin describes two approaches to course design. In each approach, how were the students involved in determining needs? In my third year as a teacher at the Chinese-American Civic Association (CACA), we received a grant from the U.S. Department of Education's National Workplace Literacy Program to provide a course for Chinese health-care workers at the South Cove Manor Nursing Home in Boston.
