Setup exchange email on android

03:28
Here is a quick tutorial to setup your Exchange Email account on your Android phone. Hello and welcome to the Braintek video tutorials. My name is Greg, owner of Braintek. Today, I’m going to show you how to add your exchange email onto your Android phone. So here, I’ve got a Samsung device. We’re going to go over here to ‘Apps.’ Look for ‘Email’ on the list. And if you don’t have an account, it’ll bring you right up to here. So we can just go ahead and add our Exchange account. Go ahead and type in your email address. Type in your password. Click ‘Next.’ Here, we’re going to choose a type. We’re going to choose ‘Microsoft Exchange.’ It’s going to look for some settings and if it can’t find it, we’re going to have to populate some additional settings here. We’re just going to wait and see how this looks. Security warning. So, the site name doesn’t match. That’s okay. We’re going to click ‘Continue.’ Unable to set up the account. So that means we just need to add some additional settings, so make sure that you have these settings ahead of time. So you’re going to need your Domain – this is going to be the network domain that you would use at your office. You need to know the server address – this would be the outside address. That’s the only two settings we’re going to change here. We’re going to leave everything else. If everything is correct, it should continue. So it says “Remote security.” If your server has this then that’s okay, click ‘Okay.’ Here, it’s going to ask us for some settings on how long we want to sync – so we can do 3 days – push-push is all fine, what it’s going to retrieve, how often it’s going to sync your calendar, do you want it to sync your email contacts, calendar, tasks, sync text messages. So I’m just going to leave all of the defaults here. We’re going to click ‘Next.’ Here it’s says the server is going to have some abilities. You can review that. We’re just going to click ‘Activate.’ Here, we’re going to give it some kind of name so if you’ve got multiple email accounts, you can decide which way you’d like it to be set. We’re going to click ‘Done.’ Here, it brings us to the mail box so we’ll just go ahead and compose a new message. We’re just going to send it to ourselves. We’re going to send it. And there it is. Our test message just came in that we just sent to ourselves. Sent from this Galaxy S5. I’d like to thank you for watching the Braintek video tutorials. Please check out our other videos on the Braintek channel and have a great day!

Setting Up Your Samsung Code To Receive Direct Push Emails From Any Exchange Server

03:07
Just like with Google, MSN, AOL, etc., your Samsung Code can receive direct push email from any Exchange Server you have access to (this is most often the case when someone tries to access work based email communications). Although in most cases, the IT Department would set up your Exchange Email Account on your Smartphone, this video will show you how you can become your own Exchange Server Network Administrator (if you have the server information and other settings necessary to set up your account). Samsung Opens Simband Applications And SAMI Data Exchange Platform To Developers

00:55
Today at the Samsung Developer Conference, the consumer electronics giant announced that it will be opening up its health tracking platform to developers. It’s doing that through the introduction of its Simband wearable hardware and software platform, as well as its SAMI data exchange platform. The Simband is designed to allow Samsung to see what types of applications developers want to work on. The highly modular health-tracking product has a ton of sensors built into it, giving developers new tools to play with. As a result, the platform could help Samsung even fine-tune future products that it creates based on demand from Simband users. At the same time, many developers don’t even know which data is useful at first. And so, Samsung is also opening up its SAMI data-exchange platform up for developers. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Techcrunch/~3/gXLbFsngSUA/ http://www.wochit.com

How to fix the Can't verify the server error on the Mac Mail Client

04:53
Nothing is more frustrating for new (or old) Apple users than trying to get the Apple mail client working properly during it's initial setup. The main thing that we are addressing in this article is the verification of the mail server during setup. The error "Mail can't verify the identity of the server xxxxxx" often appears when working with the secure (SSL) settings for your mail client (where "xxxxxx" is the name of your server). This tutorial will walk you through the steps needed to make sure that your secure settings will work and your self-signed certificate is saved on your computer so that you don't have to continually confirm the identity of your mail server. The first step involves the setup of your mail client. If you are using the secure settings and you are seeing a window pop up that says "Mail can't verify the identity of the server xxxxxx" then follow the steps below: Click on Show Certificate Next, click on the drop-down arrow where it says TRUST You will need to make sure that server listed in this message is the correct server. If you know it's right, then click on "Always trust" next to Secure Sockets layer (SSL) Do the same thing for x.509 policy Next at the top of the warning window, you'll see a checkbox with the line "Always trust 'xxxxx' when connecting 'server'". Click the check box. Finally, click on the button labeled "CONTINUE" After you have finished the approving the certificate, you will need to make sure that both incoming and outgoing emails work. You might need to specify an outgoing mail server depending on how your email account is setup. Make sure to select the one that matches your mail server for your account. If necessary, repeat the steps above in order to make sure that the server settings are saved properly. You'll know it's working when you are able to send and email and receive an email without seeing the server verification window pop up.
