Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - AFK Materials/Resources Processing

06:48
The video guide shows how to precess materials while AFK in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. If you try to stay in the ACC or at Mother Base to process materials while AFK it won't work, because the game will transform the unprocessed resources only once and then will stop doing so. To trick the game you need to constantly move through checkpoints. The easiest way to do this is by finding an enemy patrol and hop into the back of their truck. They will move between outpost and thus trigger checkpoints along the way. The game will continue the materials processing and also save your progress while you pass through a checkpoint. It is a good idea to disconnect the game from the internet to prevent pausing screens. Also you may need to disable the automatic turn off feature of your console. When you're ready you can turn off your controller (if you're playing on a PlayStation) or leave it plugged in using a charging kit (if you're playing on an Xbox). An easy spot to try this method is Lufwa Valley. Our full Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Let’s Play Walkthrough will feature the entire Single Player, all Story Missions, Episodes, Side Ops, Mission Tasks, Wild Animals, Blueprints, Key Items, Skills, Memento Photos, Posters, Weapons, Equipment, Collectibles Locations, Achievements, Trophies, Cheats, Easter Eggs. Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, MGSV: The Phantom Pain, will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions. Nine years after the events of MGSV: GROUND ZEROES and the fall of Mother Base, Snake a.k.a. Big Boss, awakens from a nine year coma. The year is 1984. The Cold War serves as the backdrop as nuclear weapons continue to shape a global crisis. Driven by revenge, Snake establishes a new private army and returns to the battlefield in pursuit of the shadow group, XOF. The METAL GEAR SOLID team continues to ambitiously explore mature themes such as the psychology of warfare and the atrocities that result from those that engage in its vicious cycle. One of the most anticipated games of the year with its open-world design, photorealistic visual fidelity and feature-rich game design, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will leave its mark as one of the hallmarks in the gaming industry for its cinematic storytelling, heavy themes, and immersive tactical gameplay. Key Features: - Open-World game design allowing players ultimate freedom on how to approach missions and overall game progression - Fox Engine delivers photorealistic graphics, thoughtful game design and true new-generation game production quality - Online connectivity that carries the experience beyond the consoles to other devices to augment the overall functionality and access to the game.

How to Resize an Exterior Door

06:39
Ask This Old House general contractor Tom Silva trims a front door that’s getting caught on a homeowner’s entry rug. Click here to SUBSCRIBE to the official This Old House YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=thisoldhouse Time: 3-4 hours Cost: $50 Skill Level: Moderate Tools List for Resizing an Exterior Door: Measuring tape Hammer Pencil Track saw Block plane Paint brush Table saw Grinder Chisel Brad nailer Shopping List: Medium grit sandpaper Primer 1x6” red oak Stain Rags Wood glue Headless brad nails Steps: 1. Take the door off the hinges. 2. Mark the bottom of the door about ¼” and cut it with a track saw. Sand the edges of the door a little bit and ease the edges with a block plane. 3. Prime the bottom of the door with some paint and a paintbrush to protect the raw wood. 4. Rehang the door. 5. Measure the gap between threshold and the door on both sides. 6. Cut the red oak to size based on the measurements between the door and the threshold using a table saw. This will become a filler piece for the threshold. 7. Grind off any finishes on the top of the threshold. Use a chisel to get the varnish out of the corners between the threshold and the jamb. 8. Place the filler piece on top of the threshold and close the door to ensure it fits properly. Then, mark where the edge of the door lands on the filler piece and mark it with a pencil. 9. Bevel the edges of the filler piece on the table saw. 10. Stain the piece and let it dry. 11. Secure the filler piece to the threshold with wood glue and brad nails. Resources: To cut the bottom of the door, Tom uses a circular saw that rides on a track, known as a track saw, which can be purchased at the local home center. By using the track, it protects the finish of the door and speeds up the cutting process. Tom uses a table saw to cut a bevel on the inside edge of the door threshold, it can be purchased at the local home center. How to Recreate the Look of an Antique Closet Door

11:07
Ask This Old House general contractor Tom Silva travels to Pittsburgh to replace a bi-fold closet door with one that is more appropriate for the house Click here to SUBSCRIBE to the official This Old House YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=thisoldhouse Time: 6-8 hours Cost: $800 Skill Level: Moderate Tools List for Replacing a Closet Door: Drill Miter saw Level Measuring tape Screwdriver Shopping List: Pre-hung door Reproduction door hardware 2x4 studs Framing screws Shims Steps: 1. Start by removing the old door from the closet opening. 2. Measure the width of the door opening and order a door that size or smaller, to make it easier. 3. Cut the 2x4 studs to length and then secure them to the sides of the door opening using framing screws and the drill. Use additional 2x4s or rip down additional stock as needed until the opening is roughly 2” wider than the width of the door. 4. Check the opening for level at the top and plumb on both sides. If it’s slightly off plumb on the sides, that can be corrected with shims. 5. To make sure the header stays level, hold the level at about eye level and make two reference marks on both sides of the rough opening. 6. Measure from the reference mark to the header on both sides of the opening. Transfer the measurement of the shorter side to both sides of the jamb on the pre-hung door. This will make the door level. 7. To get the correct height for the jamb, measure from the reference lines on the rough opening down to the floor on both sides. Then, measure from the reference line on the jamb to the bottom of the jamb. If the jamb is longer than the measurement from the opening, it will need to be cut. 8. Cut the jamb to length based on the reference measurements. 9. The door may also need to be cut down slightly to allow the door to swing properly. 10. Remove the door from the jamb. 11. Hold the jamb into the rough opening and line up the reference marks from the jamb and the rough opening. Be sure that the edge of the jamb is flush with the face of the wall. 12. Slide shims behind the door jamb on the hinge side so that it has a roughly even gap as the other side of the jamb. 13. Predrill some holes in the jamb and the rough opening. Then, secure the jamb to the opening with framing screws. 14. Hold the level against the edge of the jamb just screwed into the opening. Once the level is plumb, pull the jamb out as much as necessary to meet the level, add shims behind the jamb to hold it in that position, and screw it into the rough opening the same way as before. 15. Rehang the door in the jamb to check how it swings before securing the rest of the jamb. 16. Secure the striker side of the jamb to the rough opening using the same method. 17. To even out the gap between the door and the jamb, add shims to the middle of each side of the gap between the jamb and the rough opening. This should push the jamb inwards, closer to the door. Secure those shims with screws. 18. Install the reproduction door hardware to the door using a screwdriver and the pieces that come with the hardware. 19. Add a door casing to the outside of the door frame to give it a finished look. Resources: The 5 raised panel pre-hung door Tom installed is manufactured by JB Sash & Door (https://www.jbsash.com/). The reproduction hardware Tom used is a Putnam Classic Interior Door Knob set in oil-rubbed bronze, manufactured by Rejuvenation (https://www.rejuvenation.com/). How to Repair a Damaged Carrying Beam

09:38
Ask This Old House general contractor Tom Silva teaches a homeowner how to repair some structural problems in his home. Click here to SUBSCRIBE to the official This Old House YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=thisoldhouse Time: 6-7 hours Cost: $100 Skill Level: Expert Tools List for Repairing a Damaged Carrying Beam: Bottle jack Grinder Large pipe cutter Cold chisel Hammer Level Drill Pry bar Shopping List: Temporary post Steel lally column Wood screws Masonry screws Angle iron Steps: 1. Use the jack and the temporary post to support the structure before removing any posts. 2. Remove the old lally column with a grinder. 3. Measure and mark the replacement column and cut it to size with the large pipe cutter. 4. Smooth out the bottom of the new cut with a hammer and cold chisel. 5. Put the post in place on metal plates and slowly remove the temporary post. Check the post for level before putting the full weight of the house back on it. 6. Screw the metal plates to the beam and to the floor with the appropriate screws. 7. To repair damaged beams, locate a local welder or metal shop and request angle iron, cut and drilled to the length of the beam being repaired. 8. Remove any pipes, wires, etc. currently going through the beam. Be sure to turn off the water, power, etc. before doing so. 9. Pry the joist hanger away from the beam. 10. Mount the angle iron on the jack and the temporary post. Get the angle iron in place and slowly raise the jack until the angle iron is wedged up against the damaged beam. 11. Screw the angle iron into the beam and remove the temporary post. 12. Slide any pipes or wires previously removed back through the beam and turn the water and power back on. Resources: Lally columns and the lumber used for the bridging can be found at the local home center or the local lumberyard. Steel angle iron can be ordered to size and is sold at metal or welding shops. Special assistance with this project was provided by Boston Welding (http://www.bostonwelding.com/). In the workshop, Tom shared some basic rules for cutting and notching joists and rafters. For cutting holes, a hole can be no more than ⅓ the depth of the structure and cannot be within 2" of an edge. For notches, the maximum notch depth is ½ the depth of the structure and no notches can be made in the middle ⅓ of the span. The Future of Water

10:11
The world’s supply of cheap and clean fresh water will likely plummet as the climate warms and populations boom. Can we find ways to conserve, cut waste, and find new sources before it’s too late? The latest installment of our What Happens Next series looks for solutions in an unlikely spot: a city perched on the edge of the world’s oldest desert. For the residents of Windhoek, Namibia, the arid future arrived long before the growing freshwater crisis made headlines around the world. And this city responded to worsening cycles of drought by tapping water resources from a radical source that was already on hand: wastewater from their own city sewers. And while the technology for building a toilet-to-tap management system isn’t new, the mindset required to do here offers a lesson to any city facing an increasingly arid future. AMAZING Extrusions in SketchUp with Extrude Tools - ALL TOOLS EXPLAINED! - Extension of the Week #47

19:05
In this video, we go through all of the tools included in Extrude Tools - TIG's amazing extrusion extension for SketchUp! Want to Support the SketchUp Essentials? http://www.patreon.com/thesketchupessentials http://www.thesketchupessentials.com/support DOWNLOAD EXTRUDE TOOLS - https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=ExtrudeTools DOWNLOAD WELD - https://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/weld The cool thing about Extrude Tools is that it allows you to extrude lines, rather than faces, giving you a whole series of new modeling options. What I wanted to do in this video was just run through the different tools and explain how each of them works. Extrude Edges by Rails – This allows you to take an edge and use other edges, or rails, to extrude it. You can use a 4th profile (a “Melding Profile”) to direct the final direction of the extrusion Options will include reverse faces, reverse rails, quad faces, and delete original edges. Extrude Edges by Rails to Lattice – This works in a similar fashion to Extrude Edges by Rails, but then allows you to create a lattice from the resulting faces Extrude Edges by Rails is very similar to the face creation by curviloft – you can select a series of lines, then generate a face with them. You can adjust the number of segments, and if the faces that are generated are quads or not. Extrude edges by edges will take 2 groups of grouped edges and use them to generate a face by extruding 1 along the other. Extrude edges by vector allows you to take an edge and extrude it in any direction you want. Extrude edges by vector to object allows you to extrude multiple items and intersect them with a face. Extrude edges by Lathe will allow you to rotate an edge in a circle, much like extruding a face around a circular shape with the follow me tool . Extrude edges by face will take a flat face that you’ve drawn and extrude it along any edge you select. Theoretically works on multiple paths at once. Extrude edges by faces will merge two faces along a rail, similar to curviloft’s loft along path function Extrude edges by rails by face will extrude a flat face along a series of rails created by curves – confused yet? Extrude by offset – create face from a line based on a defined thickness MY YOUTUBE SETUP https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/sketchup-modeling-and-youtube-creation-kit (Affiliate Links) SKETCHUP BOOKS AND RESOURCES https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/sketchup-books-and-resources (Affiliate Links) MY CURRENT FAVORITE SKETCHUP PLUGINS AND EXTENSIONS https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/my-current-favorite-sketchup-extensions (Affiliate Links) PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE Check Us Out On - Website - http://www.thesketchupessentials.com Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/easysketchup Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/thesketchupessentials Pinterest - http://www.pinterest.com/easysketchup/ Disclaimers: all opinions are my own, sponsors are acknowledged. How to Hang Crown Molding on Kitchen Cabinets

10:21
Ask This Old House general contractor Tom Silva installs crown molding on kitchen cabinets with full overlay doors Click here to SUBSCRIBE to the official This Old House YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=thisoldhouse Time: 6 hours Cost: $100 Skill Level: Moderate Tools List for Hanging Crown Molding: Brad nailer Compressor Drill driver Miter saw Caulking gun Shopping List: 5/4” Pine Fast drying spray primer Super glue Wood glue Brad nails Wood screws Pencil Wood putty Paintable caulking Steps: 1. Cut strips of the 5/4” pine to length and width, based on the size of the cabinets. These will be the filler pieces. 2. Make rabbet cuts on the filler pieces so that the piece fits tightly on the top of the cabinet and over the door of the cabinet. 3. Once the cuts are all made, spray paint the filler pieces to match the color of the cabinets in case they show through. 4. Mount the filler pieces to the cabinets using super glue to hold it in place and wood glue to more permanently bond it to the cabinet. 5. From the sides of the cabinet, nail the filler pieces in the place. For the front filler piece, drill from underneath the inside of the cabinet, and then secure that piece with wood screws. 6. Hold up the crown molding on the sides of the cabinet. Be sure they’re tight against the wall. Use a pencil to mark from the inside the correct measurement to cut the crown molding. Draw an arrow on the inside to help determine which angle the miter cut should go. 7. Hold the crown molding upside down and backwards so that it presses up safely against the fence of the miter saw. To keep it from slipping, you can use some of the clear polyurethane glue and a couple small pieces of wood to glue on the base of the saw to act as stops. 8. Turn the miter saw to 45 degrees based on the direction of the mark drawn on the crown molding during measuring. Cut the piece. 9. To make the sister cut on the opposite piece of crown molding, turn the saw to the opposite 45 degree angle and cut it again. 10. Nail the two pieces together using the brad nailer and then hold the crown molding back up to the cabinet to get the next measurement. Measure and mark the front piece of crown molding. Be sure to also mark the direction of the angle for the crown molding like before. 11. Make the miter cut for the front piece of crown molding. Then, make the sister cut for the following side like before. 12. Mount the crown molding to the cabinet using the brad nailer. Repeat this process with the rest of the cabinets with outside corners. 13. For any cabinets with an inside corner, cut the miters with the opposite 45 degree angle so that the miter angles on the crown molding cuts into itself. 14. Fill in all the nail holes with wood putty. 15. Caulk around the crown molding where it meets the ceiling to give it a finished look. Resources: The homeowner had already purchased shaker-style cabinets that came with the crown molding. The wood glue and super glue Tom used for the crown molding and the filler pieces are both manufactured by Gorilla Glue (https://www.gorillatough.com/). The other materials Tom used to install the crown molding, including the brad nailer, compressor, and spray paint, are all found at home centers. For the spray paint, Tom recommends getting a fast drying spray primer with a dry time of one hour. Ask This Old House general contractor Tom Silva helps a homeowner hang a large mirror on the stone chimney above his fireplace. Click here to SUBSCRIBE to the official This Old House YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=thisoldhouse Time: 2 hours Cost: $5 Skill Level: Moderate Tools List for Hanging a Heavy Mirror: Scaffolding Tape Measure Hammer Drill Screwdriver Shopping List: Concrete Anchors and Screws Steps: 1. Set up scaffolding (staging) in the work area. 2. Measure the center to center distance between the two hooks on the back of the mirror. 3. Measure from the bottom of the mirror to the top of the hook. 4. Measure the width of the chimney, then divide that in half to find the center location. 5. Determine the height of the bottom of the mirror off the mantle. From that point, measure up to the height of the hooks. 6. Using the center mark as a reference, divide the spacing between each hook in half, placing two marks on the stone equidistant from the center mark. 7. Determine the height from the mantle to the center height mark. Transfer that height to the two hook position marks. 8. Use a hammer drill to make a hole at your mark for the concrete anchors. Pump the trigger and be gentle when starting the hole. 9. Slide the concrete anchor into the hole and tap it in place with a hammer. 10. Use a hand screwdriver to set the screw into the anchor. 11. Lift the mirror and set it on the hooks. Resources: Staging and hammer drills can be rented from a home center or a tool rental shop. Concrete anchors and screws can be purchased at a home center. 5 Ways to CUT HOLES AND CREATE OPENINGS in your SketchUp Models

12:58
In this video, learn 5 ways in SketchUp to cut holes and create openings in your geometry! Want to Support the SketchUp Essentials? http://www.patreon.com/thesketchupessentials http://www.thesketchupessentials.com/support THE SKETCHUP ESSENTIALS COURSE http://www.thesketchupessentials.com/course DOUBLE CUT LINK (Affiliate Link) www.thesketchupessentials.com/doublecut MY YOUTUBE SETUP https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/sketchup-modeling-and-youtube-creation-kit SKETCHUP BOOKS AND RESOURCES https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/sketchup-books-and-resources MY CURRENT FAVORITE SKETCHUP PLUGINS AND EXTENSIONS https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/my-current-favorite-sketchup-extensions (Affiliate Links) #1 – Using the Push Pull tool Obviously simply drawing a shape on your flat objects and push/pulling it to the back to automatically delete the face is the easiest. When possible, utilize this as much as possible, as it’s the simplest. However, when you start doing things with curved surfaces or surfaces that intersect, you can start running into problems. #2 – Using intersect with model While the first option is the easiest, sometimes (like in the case of curved surfaces), the push/pull tool simply won’t work. With this method, intersect a pair of shapes, then right click and select intersect with model. This will create edges where your geometry intersects. Then simply delete out the remaining geometry! #3 – Creating a Cut Component Using the component tools, you can create a component that cuts a hole in whatever face that it’s resting in. Simply draw a rectangle on a face, double click to select it and its edges, then right click to make a component. You can make it a component that locks to faces on a specific axis, or to any geometry it touches. Then check the box for cut opening and create your component. However, the drawback to this is that this tool only works in individual faces, not faces with any depth #4 – Use the extension Double Cut Mindsight Studios has an extension that can cut holes in walls with multiple faces, so you could cut an opening in a wall with thickness using this extension. It basically almost just runs in the background, and when you create a cut component with depth, allows you to cut openings in multiple faces. #5 – Use Solid Tools’ subtract function Solid tools is a set of tools that gets included with the pro version of SketchUp – it contains a number of tools designed to help you with creating interactions with solid geometry. However, the tool that we’re interested in is the subtract tool, which allows you to delete out geometry wherever the two pieces of geometry intersect. Rigged markets, stealing, and corrupt regulators | Eric Hunsader Intertview

01:01:58
EP 071: Rigged markets, stealing, and corrupt regulators w/ Eric Hunsader of Nanex Eric started out as an algorithmic trader in the early 80’s, soon after became a self-taught programmer, and since then he’s written many software applications for financial data. But today, Eric is the founder of Nanex, a whole market streaming data feed, which transmits 20 billion data points every day. Well-known for speaking out against the many issues that surround high frequency trading, Eric will tell you straight; HFT firms are stealing money, exchanges have rigged the market, and the regulators that allow this type of activity to continue are corrupt individuals. Additionally we talk about quote stuffing, mini-flash crashes that occur on a daily basis, and why Eric recently received a $750,000 whistle-blower award from the SEC. - - - - - - LINKS - - - - - - · More interviews: https://chatwithtraders.com · Free resources: https://chatwithtraders.com/resources · Sponsored by Technician: http://technicianapp.com/ · Twitter: https://twitter.com/chatwithtraders · Facebook: http://facebook.com/chatwithtraders · Instagram: https://instagram.com/chatwithtraders_ · Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/chat-with-traders · Stitcher: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/chat-with-traders

Modeling Tensile Structures with Soap Skin and Curviloft - SketchUp Extension Tutorials

13:51
In today’s SketchUp quick tutorial, we’re going to talk about drawing a few different tensile structure designs. ♦SOAP SKIN♦https://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/soap-skin-bubble ♦CURVILOFT♦https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=curviloft ♦SUPPORT ME♦ http://www.thesketchupessentials.com/support MY YOUTUBE SETUP https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/sketchup-modeling-and-youtube-creation-kit (Affiliate Links) SKETCHUP BOOKS AND RESOURCES https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/sketchup-books-and-resources (Affiliate Links) MY CURRENT FAVORITE SKETCHUP PLUGINS AND EXTENSIONS https://kit.com/TheSketchUpEssentials/my-current-favorite-sketchup-extensions (Affiliate Links) PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE ----------------------------------------------------- There are a couple different extensions you can use to create tensile structure designs – I’d recommend having them both on your computer. The first is Curviloft by Fredo6, and the second is Soap Skin and Bubble. They work a little differently, and sometimes you can get different results by trying each one of them. What I’ve found when working with these structures is that it’s best to start by drawing the area on the ground that you’re trying to cover. Then you can develop a framework and use these extensions to develop a skin over the framework. The best way to do this is to think about your structure as if you’re actually building it – you can draw lines as if they’re supports, then draw arcs between them to develop your frameworks. Sometimes it’s best to generate the entire framework all at once, and sometimes it’s better to generate one part of the framework, then use the rotate tool to generate the rest of it. Don’t be afraid to draw a flat surface to draw your arcs on. -------------------------------------------------------- More SketchUp tutorials and resources at http://www.thesketchupessentials.com Check Us Out On - Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/easysketchup Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/thesketchupessentials Pinterest - http://www.pinterest.com/easysketchup/
