Connect Canon Printer to Wi-Fi Network or Router

5032 ratings | 1615561 views
Find out how you can connect your Canon Printer to a Wi-Fi Router or a Wi-Fi network. A great convenient way to print wireless is to have your Canon printer setup correctly to the Wi-Fi router. Once you have setup and it and it is connected with an assigned IP, you can then start send print document to the printer from a computer, Android Phone, iPhone and etc.

I am so grateful that you share your knowledge and skills! I have been more than frustrated with the Canon setup manuals... anything they have shared to fix something has led to more frustration! Thank you!

If you're not sure about any of these settings, you can call Canon support 1888-274-1968 ( US & Canada ). That’s the easiest and most general way to get help for your Canon printer. ( No insult intended ).

Absolutely clear! Too many such tutorials show a screenshot of a complicated ap, with the narrator zooming a mouse around, saying go here, go there, click this, and there you go. Totally impossible to follow. This is visible, thorough, and at a pace I an absorb. Thank you.
Debra Lewis (3 months ago)
This was VERY helpful Mr. ITJungles. Without your showing this, I would have been lost and my printer would not have functioned as well. The instructions sent with the printer are crap when it comes to anything other than plugging physical items in.

This printer model is a headache to connect its content, I bought it recently and I wanted to use the scanner but comes with no booklet how to use it, instead instructions tells you to go online. I spent almost all day trying to understand and goes on and on with more instructions and shows up same thing again and again. I will try out once again and discard it on the trash, pity I spent almost $ 50 in a ink. This printer I bought in Amazon for almost the same price of the inks.

Jennifer Jacobs I'm having THAT problem, so how to install the drivers?

Hopefully you are still around to answer any questions I just wanted to know if once you do this process, when you turn it on/off when not in use, does the printer automatically connect to the Wifi network? Or do I have to do this process every time I turn my printer back on? If anyone knows that would be so helpful, thank you!

Richard Uy (7 months ago)
what do you do when you’re printer keeps telling you connection fail? how do you fix that? thanks!
Linda Leung (7 months ago)
Thank you so much! I have two Canon PIXMA printers and they failed me often times over the past few years of use. The chances of having them working is by luck. I read numerous articles and learned to set a static IP for each and to set up a TCP/IP port to print in order to avoid disconnectivity due to router/Wifi problem. But nothing helps me like your video to get the printers CONNECTED to the network. They are just always offline. I "ping" their IP address in the command prompt and can never reach them. Now it works!! Thanks for sharing!!
Perfect! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
