Overview of Steps
1. Review 4 sales stages. Rename if necessary.
2. Entering a new deal
Enter basic deals data in the Deals table. (Company Name, Contact Name, Deal Value, Created Date)
Enter current stage in which the deal is.
Enter win % as the chance of winning the deal.
3. Updating a deal as you make progress
Update Stage if the deal has moved forward to the next stage.
Update Win % if it has changed over time.
Enter Next Activity Date and Notes
4.Closing a deal
Enter Status (Won or Lost) if the deal is closed and you have either won or lost the deal.
Enter Close Date
5.Monitoring performance regularly to gain insights
View active pipeline to know if you are on target to meet your goal
View deal conversion rate and average time to win a deal

Hi, this has been very helpful. Thank you. However, I have added a column after the deal value and want the values in this column to be added to the deal value and calculate as a total of both columns. I tried changing the formula to pick this additional column, however I am unable to change this as it keeps giving me an error. Can you let me know how this can be done? Thank you
This template and your video is awesome. One suggestion.Under the stage table can you add a Deffered or Requirement cancelled stage or this might be treated as a budgetary stage where client would require a quote for defining a budget. Where requirement gets deferred or the requirement gets dropped.
Thank you very much for being so generous with your work. I am beginning to transfer my won accounts, as well as my new leads. I am a sales rep working with retailers. My won accounts have made multiple re-orders with me. How should I best utilize the sheets functionality - should I include the re-orders of my accounts? Maybe adding a column for total deal value? Or is there a better way to include this data? Standing by. And Thanks Again!
What if I wanted to add subgroups to a stage? Such as Trial Account Orientation Trial Account Check-In Trial Account Close - Could I add those in as subgroups to one of the deal stages so that they would still show up in the top list under "Trial Account?"
The template tracks only stages.Technically sub-stages can be also treated as stages, but there is a limit to the number of stages in the template.

To add a stage, add a new one next to the four stage names. Then update the named range L_ST.
In the section (Where are deals lost?), we have to add a new row and use the new stage and follow the formula used for the other stages.
To add a new status, edit the Data validation list and add a new status value.
Then as we have used the formulas in (cells G1, H1, I1 and J1), we have to create two for the new status.

This template is very good. I can't wait to try it out. Question ... If I'm using the template as suggested but want to attach the original quotation to the lead, how do I link to the quotation? Simple question but I'm a novice.
Please edit the cells in C3 to F3. It will then automatically update the drop down for STAGE. Then, when you enter the data in the table below, the slicer will update automatically.
Thanks so much for the template and instructional video, I'll be using this template for business. I have a question though, how do I deal with the CRM template in terms of a given customer making an additional purchase ? Let's say I closed a $500 with Jon Doe on January 2nd, and on March 3rd I closed another $470 deal with him again.

If I could make one suggestion; further to what Anthony Bainbridge was saying below. I make a lot of notes detailing my correspondence with prospects. They are absolutely vital for keeping track of any deal's status. If you could allow us to move to a separate sheet for each prospect, detailing there info, but more importantly, a history of our conversations and the corresponding dates. For me, that would complete this pipeline. Thanks!

i think it would be beneficial if the formulas were not editable. an entrant can make an error which would prove impossible to track unless if u reviewed all the formulas.

It is a great one of a kind product for getting 7000 plus project management and business templates minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my old buddy Taylor got cool results with it.
Hi Indzara, Ive just had a real look at this excellent Sheet now, and I will definitely be using it, how easy would it be to link the contacts over to another sheet that works as a simple CRM (CRM search will up your youtube views considerably too). maybe clicking on the contact in the first sheet could open up the entry on the next sheet in the form fill view look rather than the linear method...... that would keep the funnel sheet looking clean and effective but still allowing us to see all the relevant contact (CRM) details at one click. What do you think? This would be loved by all SME sales people who are sick of using Dynamics or salesforce which are expensive and time consuming......
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, having a separate contacts sheet and storing their information is definitely possible. Having a form type of data entry, would require writing macros, but am sure it is possible.
