In 9:51 you said "if you have a Samsung phone, the next time you look at it. It might just seem a bit different".as you said.. I'm freaking blown here(I have a galaxy Y. Yeah it is small)xD.. I know that Samsung manufactures most of the worlds chipsets and amoled. But.. I didn't imagined that Samsung can be this BIG.. XD
Samsung. Along with a few other big South Korean companies have big ties to the government and Vice a versa. It’s part of South Korean life . They have a large portfolio yes but part of that is because of those government ties.
Why do US Channels and shows always have to report so luridly. For a german it always sounds unserious if somebody says he is the "greatest", "best", "only one" on the internet. Is this the US mentality?
This was the first and only "how big is (fill in the blank)" type of video that was truly deserving of its philosophical explanation. There arent really any other companies as big and interesting as Samsung IMO
You said it your self. Samsung isn't a single company, but its a group of 80 companies which are commercially and legally independent, but have the same name. What we know as Samsung really isn't as big as you imply. Its like inferring that Australia is a mighty empire just because its part of the British Commonwealth.
And thus its called a “Conglomerate”. The head of each Samsung division is called a “사장(Sadjang)”, meaning ‘CEO’/Master of Company’. The head of a Korean Conglomerate is called a “회장(Huwehdjang)”, meaning ‘President’/Leader of the collection of CEOs’.
The type of thing that you are trying to describe is Something like the EU, composed of independent sovereign nations - whilst a Korean Conglomerate would be akin to the US, composed of ‘states’ that are governed by the central government.
A similar Korean Conglomerate to Samsung would be the LOTTE Conglomerate.
Dude this video is so shallow. What about their political connections in Korea, what does it mean to have a company that dominant? Also, all those companies are "independent and just share the same philosophy"? That's just incorrect.
