Hi! Which the best coin for making a fork? Bitcoin? If it so, can i use old versions (0.13 for example), if I don't need SegWit or Bech adresses?. Thank you for information.

I notice it. Okey, thank you!

I think that any version you can compile to a working wallet is a good version to begin with, but eventually work towards the newest version, because they have had lots of good updates you don't want to exclude, for instance the BIP-32 HD wallets, for the safety of the users. Also there might be more scripts in newer wallets but that is because they reduced sizes of most scripts, cleaning it up by moving parts of the script to new files.

Okey, I'll think it. I spent about month for exploring the first release of Bitcoin code (0.1.5), now I know this code, as if I wrote it. Realy imagine! But today I open the last release (0.16.1) and just said: omg so may files... so many folders.. Have decided look at every version since first release, then choose needed version. What do you think about it?

Hey Nikita, thank you for watching my stream!! I personally think either Bitcoin or Litecoin would be a good start when forking a coin (they are almost the same), but it all depends on what you want to implement from other coins. Bitcoin has SHA256 (cpu) but Litecoin has Scrypt, which is faster and GPU compatible. I first began with a fork of Litecoin-, because the wallet is smaller in files, GB's, Compiling time, dependencies and overal more simple to compile and play around with, because of the in-wallet miner. Later I used Dogecoin 1.10 and 1.14, and now I'm using Litecoin-0.16, but for these newer wallets you will need to connect an external mining program to the wallet to mine the blockchain. I would also work in Linux Ubuntu-16.04 or 18.04 using the Oracle Virtual Machine and when your wallet is finished try to compile the windows wallet. This technique I show in this stream is only for the newer bit/litecoin-0.16 windows wallet. For the older wallets there is an other cross-compiling technique using the Debian Linux (tips on this can be found in the Dogecoin source code https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/tree/master/doc

How to recovery lose password
Bitcoin Daytrader (1 year ago)
Hi, that all depends on the wallet that you have and what you do remember of the password. I do have a lot of videos about recovering your btc passwords, this video might clear things up for you: https://youtu.be/V9mCEoOi5vU
