ClayTrader (19 hours ago)
And what qualifies you to make that statement? Do you have years of trading experience where you can tell me "how"?
Dar B (3 days ago)
hey Clay. Thank you for the great advice! I'm learning slowly and surely before I start trading, also doing the short term pain haha. I'm wondering what would be a good amount of cash to start with after acquiring a solid knowledge? From what I gathered with papertrading is that it would make no good gains starting with 2000 dollars, that's just something to ''burn'' fast regarding the broker fees, and of course one is not going to have most green days at the start. Anyway, I'm trying out and am gonna do so until I figure more things out. Cheers!
ClayTrader (2 days ago)
First gather the knowledge and then you'll know how much cash amounts you should have. I hope you consider my courses https://claytrader.com/courses/

Hello Clay, Firstly, I enjoyed your video and your explanation. I see where you are coming from that some may have missed: getting into trading isn't as easy as 1 2 3 or something that a person can master quickly. I like your explanation on the pain part. You have to experience pain first before you can experience anything better, even as you get into the trading market (there will be pain firsthand). Although you didn't give much details on how to or where to begin in trading, this video was great nonetheless. Thank you!

If you want to "talk trading", that's the entire idea behind my private community here https://claytrader.com/innercircle/ which you are welcomed to join.
I have 1 question: when i go short, how long is an average time to actually ‘keep’ this stocks. Bcs price can go up, but when i do believe it will goes down, whats the time frame
I do this between and during my job. I really do believe i can and i will earn bigger amounts. My simple thought is to just add time by time money into the account to grow
ClayTrader just to inform: i just (2 months) started and i invested fir example 2200 currency ‘x’ in it. Right now i have a 2,59% (netto) profit. Is this reasonable? I made some go short mistakes, i could have been a bit higher....

you shouldnt create videos assuming people lack intelligence or are lazy. half this video was wasted was useless because you spent time creating imaginary responses to being responsible and getting a stream of income to start investing. thumbs down for sure man
ClayTrader (17 days ago)
I do know my audience. My audience (people who want to trade) have a failure rate of 90% plus, and given I've been in this business of helping others for several years now, I know the assumptions I'm making are more than accurate. If they don't fit you, congrats you're in a rare category... but yeah, the world does not revolve around you and just because they may not pertain to you does not mean it doesn't pertain the the majority of people. Anyways, I wish you the best in your journey.
Cleivis Alfama (17 days ago)
+ClayTrader but don't also assume there wasn't value here and I'm some random dick online giving a thumbs down. You have great content throughout your platform. The world needs people like you. You're much appreciated but I don't like my time wasted either. Goodluck
Cleivis Alfama (17 days ago)
You're failing to understand. Majority of this video you speak from a perspective that assumes people are going to complain. About having to work hard, get a job to save or develop a stream of income in order to begin investing. And your comment to what I said only solidifies my statement. You shouldn't assume things. Know your audience. For someone to go online, fine your video and watch beyond the first minute, shows value and need for growth. Shows the want to progress in life and generate wealth. You could shorten alot of time out of thousands of lives(including yourself) and editing/upload time by simply speaking about content not irrelevant banter. Rewatch this video 7 minute could've been shaved off if you were more direct and less presumptuous.
ClayTrader (17 days ago)
Thanks for the thoughts, but given failure rates are 90% (some say 95%), I think it's safe to assume people have MAJOR issues going into that need to be aware of. What blows my mind is you are clearly a new trader given you are watching this video, however, you seem to think you are qualified as a new trader to know what is useless and what is useful. How can you know that if you are brand new?

Corinthian (2 months ago)
Just like a lot of people I want to learn how to day trade but I don't know where to start. I'm under the impression that there's a road map or steps that can follow to gradually learn how to day trade and put 2 and 2 together so I can realize what the hell I'm doing but it doesn't seem that way. I bought some BTC when it was 17-18k and made a few $$$ but it felt like shooting darts or 'rolling the dice' as you said. I want to learn what I need to learn about basic day trading. I want to learn what I should be aware of and what details I need to take into consideration since i'm pretty ignorant about. Can you point me in some direction? I apologize if I sound demanding that's not my intention but if you could point me in some direction that would be helpful.

And "short term pain" AND "sacrifice" have a whole lot to do with trading. Seems as though you don't believe me, but you'll see....
Jedi Leroy (2 months ago)
Someone needs how to start Youtube Tuition; look, you are going to need to endure a little short term pain, maybe take some classes in Media and Public speaking, as well as Teaching. You score bonus points for the T-shirt though, good decision presenting yourself that way, most "trading" people like to show off in their suit, but you still appear a little stiff in your delivery and tend to repeat a little, relax bud, you aren't trading in these videos, you are allowed to show emotion here. I'm off to find the money man who knows how to leave that facade behind when they go to Youtube.
ClayTrader (2 months ago)
It's all good. Welcome to the channel.
Jedi Leroy (2 months ago)
And thanks for the video, I didn't miss the point of the lesson you were going for but reading it back I probably come across as impatient. Could have phrased it better personally, my fault for trying to mix a little humor in the feedback, too late now. Your newer videos are certainly not as dry as I found this one, and I am still navigating the beginners section of trading, I'll be around still, as I find my bearings. I do have questions, where to look for your first brokers, and actually buying stocks for the first time, maybe you have a video I didn't find on that subject already, if not I would watch one of yours, especially as you have improved since this one. Sorry if I myself came across as dry criticizing your video, I probably could have put it a bit more respectfully.
ClayTrader (2 months ago)

These 3 things are: 1) A brand new Porsche car of your choosing, 2) Any one ex girlfriend of mine who doubted me and summarized that I will never account for anything, 3) My student loan as a whole, or a partial amount! You pick! Thanks man!!

what is the market capitalisation of some thing like Bombay stock exchange..how is it calculated....I know what is market capitalisation of a company means..but for a stock exchange like bse or nse..is it the sum of market capitalisations of all the companies listed in bse..or is it just the value of shares that are being traded in bse or nse
ClayTrader (3 months ago)
It's a case by case basis.
Sivaram Karanam (3 months ago)
hey man, this is a great series on trading, i went through most of them. I still have one doubt..when a company gets itself registered on a stock exchanger does it issue a specific number of shares to be traded on that exchanger or are the shares not divided between those exchangers when a company registers or gets listed on multiple stock exchangers

think of your junk you buy like this. 6 dollars to buy a pack of smokes or 6 pack of cheap beer is 119 dollars in 30 years. 13% annual interest meaning 10% after inflation. would you go to the store and buy a pack of smokes for 119 dollars. or a 4-6 pack of beer? F*** no. it's the same with your time. You sit there and veg out on the computer doing nothing production when you could be learning something that would save you up to 10 dollars a hour spent on the computer. I wouldn't pay 10 dollars or even a dollar a hour to sit down and stare at a screen. I'd rather learn something and increase my life span, quality of life, and thickness of my wallet.

getting a formal education is an outdated concept in modern times with the wealth of free knowledge the web has to offer. there are quite a few successful traders who are 100% self-taught. the only real effort when it comes to education is to read a LOT, listen a lot, memorize a lot, regardless of where you are--at home or school or the library. the only thing you have to invest into education is time, let's be real. it took me 5 minutes to learn online what it took 5 hours in class, took me 1 month to learn online what it took 2 semesters in class which i ended up failing because of crappy teachers and crappy overall system.

Everything in this video I did when I was making 200/ wk but found a new job more capital more opportunities. I hear you though just get up and do it emotions aside. This really sharpened my sword 🗡

ClayTrader in the video you said you spent your sparetime in you business, what did you do on your business at the first place?
ClayTrader (6 months ago)
I'm not sure what you mean.

12 minutes and you are explaining the same thing...I expect to learn something from this video...
ClayTrader (6 months ago)
Because what I am explaining is EXTREMELY important.

I’ve watched so many videos on day trading but how do I get started. I have a laptop at home in my room. Can I day trade here at my house in my room? What do I need, how do I even start it. I understand what everyone’s talking about but how do I get started. I have a laptop, what do I do next

This should help https://claytrader.com/blog/getting-started/

That's ameizing how so many people didn't really understand the msg. How to start trading. Step 1 - mentality - to be ready to make sacrifices Time and Money. Well done!!
ClayTrader (6 months ago)
I don't blame the people. There are so many "marketers" out there trying to prey on people by "selling the dream".... and yeah, "be prepared to sacrifice" is not really the best dream to be selling on my part lol
that one pink hair dude (6 months ago)
I wouldn't call it pain since it's just common sense but well.....
ClayTrader (6 months ago)
They are called suckers.
that one pink hair dude (6 months ago)
Lol yeah some people do think that stock market is easy to get in and get load of money in a short time
ClayTrader (6 months ago)
Well done to you for realizing it, but like I said, read the comments and some people think trading "know how" is supposed to just magically appear.
that one pink hair dude (6 months ago)
ClayTrader Lol, thank for reading my comment but i just think that everything at the short term part is necessary and can't be skip, and i'm completely fine with that, i want to start on trading stock soon and i already know that everything you said is true so to me it's just a thing i have to get throught to be successful so i consider it as a common sense.
ClayTrader (6 months ago)
Have you read the comment section? I assure you, for quite a few, it is NOT "common sense" lol

I am starting out at 29. We dumped our savings in my husbands new company that is doing ok. We make a decent living and comfortable. I do have some money to invest in education on this. I have some money put back and can always get more. I don't want to wait 5 years down the road to start actually making money trading. I don't want to have to lose a bunch of money either. I know I will lose some probably but I don't want to do guessing games. I have 3 kids and I'm not throwing away money. I'm going to continue watching all your videos and probably invest in you classes. I'm serious about this but don't want to have to throw away money and lose some just to learn how to trade.
ClayTrader (6 months ago)
Sounds like you are being wise, yet firm, in your plans. Which I won't lie, I'm glad my classes will be part of your plan. Let me know if you have any questions as you go.
Cameron Stiff (6 months ago)
Dude. Use some intelligence and make a useful video. The amount of redundancy and useless advice in this video makes me unlikely to watch your other videos.

Thanks for your thoughts.

*I want to learn from scratch all about Trading! Please teach me, be my mentor so I can be a successful Trader, so I can pay my medical bills from my heart surgery! Greetings from Fort Worth, Texas*
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
Great first step! I'd encourage you to try and pick up another part tie job too.

ClayTrader *I have a part time in Walmart. Thanks for replying Clay*
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
Go pick up a couple part time jobs. Trading is NOT a viable way to "pay the bills" when first getting started. You'll have too much pressure on yourself.
Jean-Paul Wenger (7 months ago)
So much blabla to express such few things... Please cut that to a 30 sec video
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
No, it is about patience. Trust me, I see people with your "gotta be effective" mentality all the time and then they get roasted in the markets. I've been working with traders for years now, I have plenty of data points such as yourself and your mentality.
Jean-Paul Wenger (7 months ago)
Thanks for the warning. This is not about patience but about being effective, going straight to the goal. Watching such non strait to the goal video will definitely consume all my time...
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
Your lack of patience is going to be a huge hindrance in the world of trading. Be warned.

if your smart this theory doesn't exist. practice on a demo account till your good, learn how to loose enormous amounts of money as well as make it. then you've developed your ability to take decisions. do this for at least a year.. till your ready to earn with real money. my proof is that i in less than a week learnt to profit 108 k. trading is relay like card counting when gambling
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
I guarantee all you did was build a bunch of bad habits if you grew an account to 108k profit. Don't mean to rain on your parade, but yeah....

We live in a sacrificial redemptive reality system, so if anyone wants something bad enough they will go through the birth pains... but once the cycle is complete then looking back the person is happy they went through the "no pain no gain" process. Excellent video!
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
Well said!
Ralph Salvador (7 months ago)
This whole video was about you trying to sell your product thumbs down.
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
Good logic.

Is not only about your mind my friend.
ClayTrader (7 months ago)
I didn't say "only", I said "getting started". And literally, the first thing for "getting started" is 100% mental.
