I haven't had an S5 in a couple of years but am looking to buy another since they are classics. This lets me know I can replace that cover if I get a used one with the issue. Thanks for posting!

Nice vid! My cover just broke and first I thought whatever, but the replacement is cheap and easy so I'll give it a go.

The tiny black sticky waterproofing that goes around the screw hole got torn so I took a teeny tiny piece of the clear sticky stuff that holds a new credit card to the paper (and it comes in other packaging--but I just happened to get a new card yesterday), and I sliced the tiny piece until it was almost as thin as paper, I held it up to a hot light bulb (love those incandescents!) for about 5 seconds to get it more pliable, then I nudged it into place with the tiny screwdriver. It seems like it worked perfectly to keep my phone water proof. I will still take my phone with me into the bathtub, but I will be extra careful about keeping it out of the water--just in case. I bought my new port door from a reputable seller on eBay, 5 doors for 5 dollars plus the tools you need.
Can you put the purchase of this piece in the description link
